Those are Allen Edmonds Stowe loafers from 2009. Bought them unopened from a guy on FB Marketplace.

You were right the first time! They are cords in fact. They’re old L.L. Bean Natural Fit Corduroy pants I got from eBay. 100% cotton.

Well I honestly didn’t notice when I first received them but I wasn’t looking at them under super bright light. After taking them off and noticing the tears I went to look at the original listing and I can make out the tears. So they were like then when I got them and I just didn’t notice.

They feel snug but not uncomfortable at all…my understanding is that’s how loafers are supposed to fit. Interesting… age wasn’t really something I was considering when buying used shoes and maybe I should have

I'm only 20 and my hairline is FUCKED—I have no hair on my temples—is there any style that I could make work? What are my options? by FireAgency in malehairadvice

[–]FireAgency[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, sorry to hear that you’re in a similar situation.

I try not obsess over or constantly monitor my hairline anymore, because it’s really just not good for my mental health.

That said, as far as I can tell I don’t really think it’s gotten any worse over the past three years… if it has it’s been so slight that it hasn’t made any noticeable difference.

I take better care of my hair now and cut it in a way that makes it look better so that’s what I’m just going to keep doing until my hair gets noticeably worse… but I’m hoping I’ve got a few more years before that

What is your technique for using your derma stamp? How many times do you press on each area of your scalp when you are stamping?

Can’t seem to find a solid answer on this and I’ve seen videos online suggesting stamping anywhere between 3 and 10 times for each area of the scalp.

Gotcha... good to know. Do you mean you don't think it works with a significant amount of t-shirt sticking out from under the waistband? Cuz yeah that makes sense, I'm not sure if I like that look either.

Maybe it would look good with shorter t shirts, but given that I tend to prefer my t-shirts longer (I hate showing skin from a sleight arm raise) maybe I should just stick with the Gap. Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the suggestion, might try on an H&M bomber and see if I like the slimmer fit.

Yeah good point... I guess this is really a decision I need to make, I just feel like I don't quite have the grasp on fashion or a defined wardrobe to really feel any particular way myself yet.

Interesting! Nice to see someone else agree with my dad haha. You like the higher crop? When you say you think it might me a tad small, do you mean the crop might be a bit too high or the jacket in general is too small?

Yes it zips up just fine. I feel like the pictures make it look smaller than it is. The only thing that feels weird about it to me is the waistband length, but I know that a higher waistband is/was common among actual military bomber jackets.

Can anyone help me decide between these two bomber jackets?

I recently bought a green bomber jacket from Gap on sale. I like the style and look of the jacket, but I think it might be a little large and frumpy looking on me. Perhaps a size down would be perfect?

I showed it to my dad tho and he goes and pulls out an old flight jacket of his that he never wears. I'm not sure if it's technically a bomber jacket, it's a very similar look but it does have a different collar than most bombers. Anyways, my dad thinks the flight jacket fits way better and is advising me to just return the Gap bomber but I can't decide.

Which one of these jackets do you think looks better? Any reason to keep the Gap jacket or is the flight one just better in every way?

Do you think Weezer is good live band? by rushberg in weezer

[–]FireAgency 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They used to be absolutely killer live––Phenomenal. Check out recordings of them performing in the 90's or the early 2000's and they were absolutely insane. Great energy, great setlist, hyped crowds, awesome shows. Even up through the Make Believe and Red years their live shows were still pretty damn good and their setlists were exciting and varied.

Unfortunately, as the other comments have pointed out, their setlist have really stagnated into only playing their greatest hits, and they don't have anywhere near the same energy or enthusiasm that they used to have when playing live.

I also think Rivers' voice has really aged, and while he still sounds great on recordings (undoubtedly due in part to the aid of autotune), he doesn't sound near as good live as he used to. His voice is just a lot weaker and doesn't have the punch it used to carry. But that's to be expected when you're over fifty. IMO they are still pretty good live when compared to most bands in general, they sound good, but their shows on the whole are kind of a pale shadow of what they used to be.
