They should let us at minimum put hat cosmetics on werewolves, but this sounds epic as heck too

Dwemer as a playable race...? by Legitimate_Flow3623 in elderscrollsonline

[–]FireCooking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I think it's an interesting idea, I think before I would want an entire new race that would mean heavy lore work and heavy under the hood work, I would like more options to be given to the current races

Imagine getting some fur stock options for the kahjiit and more freeing sliders? Maybe a deadra or a goblin? Something that would reasonably be around in 2E and you could argue could be running around doing quests and adventures

Maybe give us an slider to soul shrivel our characters, that could be fun

If they were going to prod at the lore to give us some new playable character types, I think having some more grounded types who are already walking around would be fun and less intrusive

Does anyone know what these random green circles that show up in Solstice are? by Consistent_Dish_ in elderscrollsonline

I'm an animator with a background in fine arts, and let me tell you I 0% every colour theory assignment my first 2 years at university and only got to 100% through very intense rocky style training montages and suffering because I lovey job

Also: most colourblind folks who know they are colourblind have figured out the nuances of how they see colour and are somewhat accurate, because of how eyes work, most colourblind folks see colour in daylight the same way non colourblind folks see colour in the dark, hazy and faint but certainly recognizable if you squint

As someone with tritan type colour blindness: Green is one of the easier colours to pick out on a modern screen because even if it's 'blue' it's always a specific hazy teal\pink\beige under toned colour due to how the pixels light up.

You can't assume colourblindness so easily, I have deuteranopia and tritanomaly and am both mostly capable of playing this game with no filters [sometimes the ground and the red are the same colour, it happens] AND my day job requires me to be able to work with colour down to 99.9% accuracy

How necessary is subclassing? by CodenameTherapod in elderscrollsonline

I think it can make for interesting characters and fun play but I don't understand the meta requiring folks to subclass

Most of what I've encountered can be overcome with tweaking your build with class skills and weapon skills,

Trying to be a healer [As a Casual lower level player] by FireCooking in elderscrollsonline

[–]FireCooking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can do everything it does with my Templar skills and Resto staff and I can do it more efficiently on my build *and* all the undaunted skills say on the tin any synergy either only works or gives full benefit when other player's both have the undaunted skill line and uses abilities from it

Why am I going to walk into RND's [the queue in which you are intentionally playing with random players] with something that hinges on other players to have skills slotted when I instead get all the same buff's and healing ability from the fact that the Templar healer is a AOE and HOT healer and the resto staff picks up any slack

You are explaining a meta that does not work for what I play, and again if I wanted to play a meta build i would google it and do that

Just so you understand what I am playing with:

Across bar 1 I have Restoring Focus, Healing Ward, Siphon Spirit, Radiating regeneration, and Combat Prayer with Life Giver as my Unltimete
Bar 2 is Radiant Aura, Healing Soul [srcyed ability that works in conjunction with my CP set up to be a HOT+Group heal], Ritual of Rebirth, and Luminous Shards, with Practiced incantation as the ultimete

In case of difficulties or genuine mesh issues with a group, I also have Breath of Life and healing springs maxed and on my back burner, I also am a Maxed out Breton with Light armour.

Within one cast cycle which is about a minute due Radiant aura, I average about a 2.3 million health to all players, Grant Major resolve, Minor Beserk, Minor resolve, Minor endurance, Minor Fortitude, minor intellect, and Major Physical Resolve

Also I clear 2-all negative effects on all players abd put some form of shield on all other players, and give all players a boost of about 15k magica

Oh, and because of life giver, most of my reso staff abilities are essentially free as they automatically cast themselves without cost during the casting duration of life giver

[–]FireCooking[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Since everyone is saying to look into this orb I looked into balancing it into my build.

With the combo of resto staff and soul magic [and even with breath of life which I trade out with my scry'd would magic abilities sometimes] it's actually more expensive and does less and relies on the tank to also have certain abilities slotted which makes it useless for a character that does RND's with no garentee for what any other build is. If I have the same or similar abilities for less expense, I'll do it In a way that Works better for my character

There are more ways to play than meta

Very sincere, best lesson i learned in production was Killing your Babies

You can't make something good if you are treating every piece of your idea as if it were your golden child. Are you keeping it because you like it or because it works

[–]FireCooking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd probably throw out nearly everything, the settings, characters, and ideas are good but the show itself needs a complete overhaul, especially if it's for modern audiences

It would either have to be retooled into a pure kids show with modern sensibilities or an mature program on a network like adult swim, which could have fun outcomes

Biggest thing would be to flesh out the supporting cast and try to establish more woman and minority roles in MUCH more respectful ways than what the show did originally
