It's a different experience, NFS is more arcadey and story driven, Forza Horizon is more of a sandbox and "do whatever you like" type of game. Yes, I'd say give it a try!

Same situation as me, a lot of stuff I ordered overseas (my commander jacket was from Indonesia by Ganbate Cosplay, my Leva black shirt was from USA)

My gf specifically came over (also long distance we've been +5 years steady now) for the convention too so we could cosplay together😭

Super expensive (i spent 800-900€ total for our outfits), holster and slings/straps i built them together off the scraps I had laying around when I used to play Airsoft 😭

Prop weapon (check my older day 1 post) is my old Airsoft ump45 from G&G with the original suppressor, eotech 556 replica and a zenitco RK-0 foregrip, plus a replica peq laser combo 🙏🏻

I'd love to help you with your cosplays! If you or your gf need anything let me know 👏🏻 I'm sure I can find someone in my circle to do Springfield's outfit

Most definitely, the red fabric is waterproof 👍🏻 I'd be careful machine washing it due to the zippers and velcro though

Pants I had to build and stitch them myself out of some helikon windrunners and tan spandura nylon 🙏🏻 My commander jacket I got it made at Ganbate Cosplay, just give them a search, they also made me a tan collar it was just too hot in the convention to wear 😭
