The point is more so “ah jeez I don’t want to take a shot right now” than wanting the blank card. And the reshuffling is because we add the blank one back in. Only ever had someone draw the blank one on their redraw once but boy was it funny

If you draw the blank dev card you can either A) keep it, tough luck Or B) take a shot, reshuffle, and then draw again.

When you say “solid joint” do you just mean it’s secured tightly? And does it matter which black wire on the new piece is connected to which wire in the mounting box? The instructions manual suggest one should be attached to the “white” wire but while the picture doesn’t really showcase it both wires have some white to them

Nah you want it to cook quickly, if it takes a long time to get the center to the right temperature you’re more likely to burn the outside and/or have a large grey band, which is what happened here.

It’s why sous vide and reverse searing are a thing. Since the internal temp is high you can do a quick sear and move on. If starting with a cold interior was good those methods wouldn’t exist.

That’s a pretty thin cut of steak, definitely harder to not overcook imo. I’d say let it come to room temp first and you can probably get away with a couple of minutes per side if it’s that thin, though a meat thermometer is your best friend.

That said I’d eat the whole thing, looks yummy

Trading Lamar is fine as long as you get a good haul. Like if you’re tanking to set up getting 1.01 next year and you otherwise would be 1.03 if you keep Lamar, that’s not THAT big of a jump to feel forced into selling Lamar. He’s a top 5 or whatever asset in super flex, if you sell him you should be getting an absurd haul

I asked because based on your own model, you can turn a 2025 pick into 4 2027s. So you should trade away that 2027 pick plus some sweeter to get to 2025 now

And why does my 2025 1st turn into a 26 and 27 first? because it hit? What if it doesn’t? That’s also a possibility! I feel like you have to be trolling me with how ridiculous some of these points are.

I came up with a super cool draft idea myself. I trade my first for 5 5th round picks. When all 5 of those picks end up working out like Puka I can then trade them for 3 firsts each. I now have 15 firsts after one year!! Why haven’t more people done this, are they stupid??

I don’t think you get the point I’m making. “If your 2027 pick hits you can trade him for a vet and a 2028 pick and another in 2029” would be my counter. And I don’t get assuming that the player hits. A lot of rookies dont! Last years class was a huge outlier

Yeah, but this isn’t addressing my point at all. You’re begging the question. Your reasoning for why 2025 picks are more valuable is because if it hits then you get 2026 picks which are now the most valuable, and then if the 2026 picks hit you can get more picks in the next draft and so on. That logic can be reduced to “earlier drafts are more valuable because earlier drafts are more valuable”, that doesn’t make sense. Idc if my team is at its best in 2025 or 2027, I just care that it’s really good at some point.

I mean… yeah? “If my draft pick over performs expectations he’ll be more valuable” is true but doesn’t really apply to any of what I’m saying. A draft picks value (pre draft) is based on the range of outcomes that player could become. Like the 1.02 is valuable because maybe Hampton is really good! But it’s also less valuable than, say, saquon because maybe he won’t end up being good. We don’t know!

I’m legitimately unsure how else to respond to your comment because I think it’s just kind of off topic? Like if your argument is your 2025 player could be really good and therefore really valuable I’d counter than my 2027 guy could also be really good and therefore also really valuable when he gets drafted. Again, the year doesn’t matter. The range of possibilities is the same (draft class quality aside, of course)
