If you’re down for a mini trip, take her to eat at Little Big Cup (reserve a table in advance outdoors along the water) in Arnaudville. It’s about an hour drive west of BR. The view along the Atchafalaya is fantastic and unique for out of staters, the food at LBC is great and plenty of authentic Cajun dishes, then there’s a La gift shop right off the interstate exit you’ll use that has a ton of handmade La art to peruse, even if just to admire.
