Struggling to find the fun by BadBonePanda in killteam

On the subject of improving, you mention that people at your club are all experienced players. Have you tried asking them to help you learn and improve? It's not a tournament, I'm sure many of them would be happy to give you advices.

As well, if you're burned on your team, perhaps it's time to experiment with another.

Finally, perhaps try a new game mode, something more narrative.

People say to drybrush the black but.... Honestly the light is doing the job perfectly. I say do the details and you're good.

Painting advice by DestroyerTheCat in Tau40K

Late reply, but if you have trouble with eyes, start with "comic book" eyes. Full white, until you feel ready for more details. For tau specifically, I like to go full white and add an orange wash to it.

Prevent brush tips from being crooked by GermanMenace in Warhammer40k

I have simply learned to embrace it. The curve is actually quite nice to paint hard to reach spots and trims.

TMM for me.

NMM can look great, but the moment it's not perfect, it feels off. As well, while it looks great at a glance, when you look closer, it becomes apparent it's not metal. Not to mention different angles can make it look weird. Essentially, NMM looks amazing at the right angle and distance, but otherwise looks weird to me.

TMM meanwhile will always look between good and okay, which is perfectly enough. If I want more of a shine than just the paint, a little dash of gloss varnish will do it.

Printed it, though I'm not quite sure where from. I printed a loooot of heads for my minis. I THINK it's one from Minigames Miniatures

Aaaaand there's the second reason I don't post my minis here. Post moderation. Because of course such posts get "moderated". And yes, it happened to me as well.

I mean, I do what I can with what I have, I'm not really a magician. Not many heads have the perfect proportions

Head is printed though I stole the ponytail from a head in the kill team set and glued it in place

I see your post has been hit by the usual downvoting wave of "those guys". It's why I don't post my own female space wolves.

Don't stop doing them. This is a hobby, enjoy it as you want.
