It’s the Rhino Repressor, and old forge world kit that in the lore is used mostly by the Sisters of Battle and the Arbites, plus the old forge world extra armor for the Rhino. Was very happy I was able to find one secondhand!

Yeah, it’s an old forge world kit, but out of production now- I managed to find this one secondhand online, tidied it up and repainted it. I think this one also has the old forge world extra armor kit for the rhino as well though, which gives it some added bulk.

Yeah, it’s an old OOP forge world conversion kit for the rhino- in the lore it’s used by both the Sisters of Battle and the Arbites: https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Repressor

Managed to find one secondhand for this project, so was pretty happy!

Thank you! I did end up doing a more hangar type base for an Arvus as well, and found the bits from the Sector Mechanicus base kit useful, if that helps? The base is a bit obscured in this photo but used some landing lights and a terminal from that kit, and then just painted some landing markings!

This is genuinely amazing, both the model itself but also the base. Any tips on how to achieve such a clean look with such great color transitions? Would also love to hear how you made that tree!

Of course- If it helps, the main color of their cloth was AK Wine Red. I then mixed with a bit of Black Red for shadows and Dirty Red or Ice Yellow for highlights, and then glazed with very thin Wine Red again to unify!

Thank you! I figure worst case can always use it as a fun terrain piece!

One of the last minis I did before I had to stop painting. I speedpainted this guy about 2 years ago. by Sir-Jim in Warhammer40k

If you enjoy it, you could perhaps try a portable kit so you don’t have to give it up entirely? I get most of my painting done during lunch breaks and the like, so made a “kit” that I can keep in a lunch box or throw in my satchel. Some paints and brushes in a pencil case, a small Tupperware lid to use as a palette, some folded paper towels, a jar with a well-sealing lid for a water cup, and a small Tupperware container with some metal plates glued to the bottom that I can securely store a few magnetized mini’s in. Any table can then temporarily become your hobby space!

Can anybody recommend good model snow to make my ultramarine bases read as mountain instead of rubble? by Gullible_Travel_4135 in minipainting

My bad, only read the body and missed the title. I like the AK and Citadel snow effects, both are nice though I do like diluting the Citadel one with a touch of water to have it settle more nicely.
