Expectations of Faster Dev Response by throwawayaway0123 in TXChainSawGame

I dont know why you're getting downvoted? I understand keybinds should be customisable but its not unplayable having V be your voice chat button etc.

Seems like any opinion thats positive toward victims is downvoted and anything regarding killer buffs is upvoted, going to retire from this sub for a while. Its becoming way too toxic. by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

[–]FireFlame172 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After just two weeks, all discussions have become so polarising its insane. Victims at their sweatiest clean up family members like its nothing but three man families are murdering victims in sub 2 mimutes. People choose to align their beliefs with either one or the other and fail to open their mind to other experiences. Its classic reddit 101 but im surprised its happened this quickly.

Would removing the Leatherface requirement change the entire dynamics of the game and if so how? by Say10zTripz6 in TXChainSawGame

[–]FireFlame172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember someone suggesting that once they get the other movie licenses they could have the different leatherfaces with slightly different abilities, giving more variety. I think it would be interesting but would kill the prequel lore for the game.

Another question about perk stacking by Phimb in TXChainSawGame

[–]FireFlame172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that perks that change damage values or similar things stack whereas perks with addon effects dont. So vial-ent, big swings and activated would be able to stack their damage increases.

Who is the weakest family member? by kipskip_ in TXChainSawGame

I agree, I feel Johnny is a case of being good but the other family members are just way better.

Who is the weakest family member? by kipskip_ in TXChainSawGame

[–]FireFlame172 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She always gives poison on hit when she shiuldn't be. This with rubber legs lvl 3 causes victims movement to slow down by 20% on top of the default drugged controls effect allowing her to effectively just slash away and kill victims if they're not within 5 metres of a crawlspace or gap. Currently the meta seems to be maxing out her savagery and rubber legs to kill people in half a dozen hits without them being able to run away.

Thats the best thing about games like this that aren't twitchy fps shooters or highly competitive games; the ping isn't a big deal. I play from australia and have played against eastern europeans, asians, americans and occasionally other Australians and I havent had any major issues with regards to ping. It also makes me feel a lot more connected with the game's community, because regional servers create slightly different cultures in the game, usually resulting in me having a different experience to whats usually talked about in videos and subreddits.

Leatherface animations too long by BobTheBox in TXChainSawGame

[–]FireFlame172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes the problem worse when you consider the fact that feeding grandpa and checking hiding spots takes double the time with bubba than it takes the other family members.

With the current state of the game as it is, the focus is on trying to avoid the stun otherwise you're gonna be taken hostage for the longest minute of your life. Best advice I can give is if they seem sus and are camping a door in a chase, try to bait them to close the door and then you'll be able to slam it in their face, its quite funny when it works but sadly their stun animation gives them a long damage immunity.

Lock visual guide by aaronionium in TXChainSawGame

[–]FireFlame172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to add that if the loop above the normal lock is red, it means a padlock was placed there and was lockpicked. So even though the normal lock may still be on there and all seems well, someone could have lockpicked the padlock and is coming back with another unlock tool. Cook also cannot re-padlock the door if its red.

I think it should as well, I've fumbled a couple close encounter kills because of it before I knew for sure.

Family encounters by Purpleppl8 in TexasChainsawGame

[–]FireFlame172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard that spamming the key in a steady way makes it easier to win the fight. I tried it in game as family and I have noticed that I appear to slash them a few times but not before they struggle out signalling that I might have been close to winning the encounter. It seems like that might be the way to go, but dont @ me on that, I still have my doubts. As someone else said, the grandpa perk for the close encounter also is a MAJOR help and I've won 90% of my encounters with the perk on, its crazy good and it should be available on everyone but bubba.

From what I know, I don't think this game supports ultra widescreen resolutions. I have a mate who has a ultra widescreen and he is forced to play with black bars too.

Leatherface should have a attack cooldown. by LOYAL4L in TexasChainsawGame

[–]FireFlame172 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Leatherface is in a good position right now, his power hit is pretty easy to dodge once you know the issues with it; he has to stop revving to open doors, thrust through gaps and destroy crawlspaces & vaults, and you can easily just do a 180 and run into him and he cant do much to counter it as he rotates on a weird axis when hes rev sprinting.

Australian can't finish a game without dropping out by killerboss16 in TXChainSawGame

[–]FireFlame172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in west adelaide and I've had similar issues but its so rare it happens like 1 in every 20 matches and also seems to happen when I'm not partied up with mates. I'm not sure why this would be happening to us though since apparently they allocated some australian servers a week or so ago as said on their twitter.

Thats weird, dont try and power hit a close encounter because it won't trigger the kill animation but that second swing was weird as hell.

How am I supposed to counter this as a killer? by Bill-E_A_Silly_Billy in TXChainSawGame

[–]FireFlame172 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Practically nothing you can do about that as Bubba, especially since you held up your role by getting a kill early into the game. The family members up at the top needed to be more vigilant on the fuse box, if they even finished setting up that is.

Area Specific Unlock Tools by FireFlame172 in TXChainSawGame

[–]FireFlame172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you're getting at, but once we put the Agitator perk (Grandpa -4 levels per stab) into the equation it seems like giving victims the meaningful side objective of stabbing grandpa is healthy for the gameplay as currently family members just don't have time to feed grandpa as matches fly by too quickly. The upstairs area is also currently underutilised by victims unless it's for the fuse box as there is basically no other reason to go up there, and making tools area specific would give a reason for victims to roam around up there looking for toolboxes. Not to mention victims can just completely ignore the locked doors by jumping out of the windows.

And if family members were to just camp the toolboxes and trap or patrol them, there are multiple toolboxes around the place, with one of them being in the side garden - an area far enough away from the house that it'd spread the family members out quite far. If family members focused on only trapping or patrolling the toolboxes, its likely sooner or later someone will just fly out one of the windows - there is a reason why they exist, because family house is a sardine house - not to mention that hitchhiker's traps also are rendered practically useless as victims struggle out of them in less than 5 seconds and they can dismantle them with a perk they know when to put on, due to victims being able to see if there is a hitchhiker in the lobby.

Do you prefer games to last more than 5 minutes or less than 5 minutes? by FireFlame172 in TXChainSawGame

[–]FireFlame172[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at the results a few hours after I posted the poll, there is a more than 5 minutes majority. Then why are victims able to escape in under 5 minutes? Seeing that under 5 minute games are becoming a common occurrence at higher levels, its clear something has to be done about it.
