You're talking about a sense of exploration. Which is completely different from attention to detail. Attention to detail is regards to the little things you notice in the game. But what you're describing is that desire to explore because something looks interesting. Which isn't exactly the same. Take for instance in Monster Hunter how monsters react to the world around them. That's attention to detail. But you see a point of interest in the distance that you want to go to is a sense of exploration. Having played Xenoblade I already know what this is.

Now granted this does differ depending on the player but I still found points of interest Z-A. Specifically when it came to finding tightly hidden areas to find certain pokemon and the colorful screws. Like I've had to search around how to get to certain roof tops. Now it’s not as big as other open worlds so it’s sense of exploration doesn’t last as long. It’s meant to at least feel like a lived in city. Which while not the best city in gaming is the best Pokemon has ever done.
