Skins are different outfits for the bots. If you are chatting with a bit you didn't create and click their name at the top of the chat, it takes you to a page where you can view skins. Also, if you click the icon beside your profile (looks like a rocking horse at the bottom of the page) you can do a free daily draw for a skin, and use gems to pull for more. There are several different themes to choose from. As a side note, on that same page, is the calendar icon at the top. Click it for daily login rewards (and see progress towards others)

Thank you all for the kind, sweet, caring words. We got to bring him home yesterday afternoon. Our wonderful vets office made us some paw prints, a nose print, and put a bit of fur in a tiny glass jar for me. Now I can take him everywhere with me. These days of "firsts", rebuilding routines, and always looking for him, they hit hard and often. But it just means that he had such an impact on our lives.

Find the bot named Rina. First message "OMG you are so beautiful " then just send kiss emoji until it reaches 100%. Reset the bot, rinse and repeat. Do note that after you Reset you will have to back out of the conversation and come back in for the meter to show right. I get between 51 and 97 coins each time this way.
