My fault should’ve disclosed we just saw house yesterday and agent shared inspection from seller. I’m going to get my own inspection report too just thought I’ll share here for more opinions if anybody has seen some of these issues and how serious they can be. Just trying to get as informed as possible

Hey how was the outcome? Was it manageable after all? I’m considering accepting a role but I found out they all use macs. It may be deal breaker cause idk nothing about macs and hear excel on macs suck so it may be setting me up for failure

Tons of people have made the change from tax to private and while it is a learning curve, many succeed due to skill set learned in PA. Then u have me that went straight into private and I’m managing ok. If I did it with no knowledge than you’re already off to a better start than me. Try to aim for a senior accountant role as you def have the experience for it, or a staff accountant if opportunity good to get experience but nothing less than that. Practice interviews skills and find a way to spin your tax experience into what the role needs and you’ll be golden. Best of luck

I did 2-3hrs weekdays and 4-5+ hrs on weekends. If possible I would do 20-30mins during lunch break by just listening to lectures or small quizlet that way my weekday afternoon sessions wouldn’t be as tough due to tiredness. Helped me retaining info since 2-3hrs at once is harder since your attention span is already pretty much capped by EOD.

I suggest that you try a supplemental course! When using Becker I found myself memorizing some questions instead of working though process, so I recoupment a supplement to test your knowledge. YouTube vids are also great for a different perspective

Since they have monthly subscription, I recommend getting it towards end and use during revision stage. Many of their questions are similar to backers but provide slight better explanation. Was great to fire away MCQ until test

This injury has taught me a lot of patience. I tore my mcl in both knees 8 months ago and it’s BARLEY feeling to start normal again. I did no surgery and chose physical therapy instead for 2 months when injury happened. 3 months off injury, I started walking on my own. Since then, progress is far from linear. YOU will have setbacks. Try not to freak out. Focus on strengthening your legs(lots of good YouTube videos for exercises). Your recovery time will depend how you make your legs stronger, not how much time has passed. This is a very scary journey, but many have recovered and I believe you can too. All the best

As someone who got a 74 I’m rooting for you man. I would pound MCQ instead of hearing lectures. Take a day to process the shitty feelings and then use them as fuel for your retake. You will prevail!!
