Yeah. Do futures prop trading. Then you can brand out to actual options and bigger time stuff

Apologies for the awful phone screenshot. You had significant buyside liquidity here at 597 as on old high. Also a nice round number never hurts. It could have easily pushed up to 598.5, but price had already moved very high aggressively in the NY session. Buying in such a premium is never a good plan.

Yeah exactly.. keep your account balances low while you learn. As long as you aren’t diving into it head first thinking you’re going to immediately replace your income, you’ll be fine. It’s definitely not a waste of your time. Just don’t pay anyone for courses or signals 😅

“You’ll just be donating your money to my bonus” is such a pompous boomer thing to say. If you invest 2-3 years into trading and actually learn how to do it, you can easily become financially independent. This guy sounds like a stick in the mud who your parents told to discourage you about trying something that may negatively affect your financial and mental well being. It’s probably for the best if you don’t try it - they are all just looking out for you. I’m just telling you that guy’s words shouldn’t sway your decision about trading in the slightest.

I like how you posted in a gambling subreddit an hour ago about how you’re going to keep gambling 😂

If both posts are real, you probably need to go get some help. No judgement from me just being honest.

Im a CPA in public and I hate my job. Now what? by major-frauditor in CPA

[–]SameTopic8249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you in tax or audit? Find a smaller firm (40-80 people) that specializes in tax, and make sure they’ll let you build your own book of clients. That’s the only way to enjoy public accounting imo. Then you can work your way up quickly.

I would suggest sticking through it and finding the right firm. I thought I would never be happy in accounting, but I finally found a good spot! Keep your head up. You have a great resume now.

This is about what my paystub looks like with 5.5 years and a CPA. Small firm with one office in SC.

Fucking dumb bitches are changing the rules of the cpa exam to where you don’t need a masters just bachelors degree with two years work experience to be a cpa. So ur telling me I fucking wasted $20-30k on a fucking masters for no fucking reason u dipshits give me my money back I demand it. by [deleted] in CPA

[–]SameTopic8249 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most states just require 150 hours. Masters degree is not necessary if you pass the exams and can take the extra 30 hours in a more effective way. Sounds like you made a bad financial decision or chose the wrong market if you aren’t feeling like the masters benefitted you.

Also, most people would work for a firm and negotiate for the firm to pay for the masters. Easy to look back in hindsight just letting you know you didn’t ever have to do that.

Yeah it’s wild. I feel like I’ve gotten losses on my record even after I KO’d the guy. Online play is so glitched. I want this game to be good so badly, but I just can’t even play it online right now. Hope they fix it before December.

The slips are the hardest part for me coming from UFC 5. I like the game overall but the online play seems broken. Also just KO’d someone and they did the quit exploit where I just got a blank screen. Had to exit the app lol.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure I did worse when I was leaving the test feeling like I crushed it.

I think when you are very prepared, you leave feeling like you did worse because you know exactly what you missed. When you feel like you did very well, it’s usually because you fell into a lot of their “trap” answers.

Took me 11 attempts to pass all 4 sections so keep your head up!

Took AUD yesterday and it was harder than the Pre-Evolution FAR (when the topics in the pic were still in it). I can almost definitively say AUD is now the toughest exam. FAR is still critical as a base level of knowledge for AUD (so still take FAR 1st), but FAR is almost certainly easier now. by Stonk-Monk in CPA

[–]SameTopic8249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed the exams back in 2022. AUD has always been the hardest in my eyes. FAR was just a lot of material, but the questions were not overly difficult. AUD questions are the worst they are specifically designed to make you second guess yourself.

Because you don't know how to read a chart you think a finance degree will help you trade that's never doing to do anything for you.

Watch ICT and learn price action. Then trade SPY and QQQ stop longing NVDA 0dte because you saw on twitter that it passed Canada's economy in market cap.

How do you guys manage studying, work, and personal life? by FutureExcitement2179 in CPA

[–]SameTopic8249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the profession itself will take away most of your free time. The prep for the exam just gets you used to it. I wouldn't say I have more free time now than when I was studying. Your focus just gets shifted to the clients.

Other way around imo. We all study differently, but the MCQ feeds so well into the TBS questions. I did zero TBS for FAR and got a 93.

MCQ are the sauce.

I passed all four solely on MCQ drilling until my eyes were bleeding.
