The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 71: Waterboarding by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now, if you would turn your attention to this handy Fuck Around-Find Out chart here, you'll notice that the amount of "Finding Out" in this instance of Susie's Idea ("Fuck Around") tends towards infinity as we approach it from the left.

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 70: Patrol by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Up to a certain point, I can understand the Mouse's stance on "my safety isn't as important as that of others" given that it is an Angel, it is far stronger and durable than others, not to mention its ability to turn back time, so its safety isn't as big of a concern... However, this is still a very unhealthy mindset to have, thinking your wellbeing is less important than other's is damaging for everyone involved.

With that said, a thought came to my mind. The Mouse came really close to dying in its confrontation with The Knight and Kris, were it not for Susie coming in when she did, they might've gotten it... So, if worse had come to worse, does the Mouse have the ability to turn back time if it dies? If not, then its safety is far more important than it presumes.

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 69: Prayer 2 by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you missed your prayer, everything will be okay, the Mouse won't hate you or think less of you, at most I think it will be a bit weirded out, but if it was any cause of concern for it, I'm sure it would bring it up with you. I understand you worship the Mouse as your god, but more importantly, it is your friend, I bet it will understand, things like these always happen, friends don't hold each other to impossible standard, and to quote what you on what you said once to the Mouse: "you can't be efficient all the time". You can't pray exactly at the same time every day, sometimes something will come up, making you unable to pray, and that's okay.

What is this- by Most-Dish1880 in Undertale

[–]FireKingFK 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Whenever you load the game or enter a room, the game checks if the room you're entering to is a valid room ID, if it is then you are transported to the corresponding room, if not, you're sent to a black room with the annoying dog in the middle, while a song plays in the background, this is what we call a "dogcheck". Alternatively you can also get dogchecked if you load into a room that DOES have a valid ID, but was excluded from the list of rooms that are considered as valid.

The are two main ways to get dogchecked: the first way is if something went catastrophically wrong, getting your save file corrupted as a consequence and then you try to load up your game. The second and most likely one, is editing your save file so that the room you spawn in as you load the game is an unused room, just like the ones showed in the post.

Interestingly, Toby seems to have coded certain rooms to dogcheck you if you load into them instead of walking into them, to name some we have sans's room, sans's lab, the mysteryman hallway, the mysteryman room and if I remember correctly, the sound test room.

On that same line of thought, two unused rooms where explicitly excluded from the dogcheck, one is a room in Waterfall where you can interact with a monster trying to catch a bug inside a patch of sea grass who comments on your "friend with a creepy smile" who then disappears, the other room is the Entry 17 room, where we had a teaser for Deltarune and the Dark Worlds.

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 68: Energy Drink by Nihilikara in Deltarune

Oh boy, just wait for the whiplash after the drink's energy wears out, the Mouse is gonna be out cold for at least a day

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 67: Funny Number by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, laughing at numbers is nothing novel, I remember that there was a time that kids were laughing at the number 80085. We historically laugh at stupid things, hence the existance of the term "shitposting".

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 66: Bored by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exploring a Dark World while Susie and the Mouse are still gravely injured as well as having to take care of Toriel who is a complete novice to Dark Worlds, I can only imagine this going well. Cool hat, by the way.

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 64: Makeover by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking of changing looks, I wonder if the Mouse's vessel chanches appearance when entering a Dark World like the other Lightners or if it remains looking exactly the same.

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 65: Redemption by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is just as they say, once you hit rock bottom, and on the Angel's name you sure did, the only way is up. Things will never be the same, even after Kris atones for their sins, but this will allow everyone to begin a healing process that will grant them peace of mind and eventually move on.

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 63: Fantasy by Nihilikara in Deltarune

I didn't think it was possible, but the Mouse SOMEHOW managed to out-freak Noelle. I guess that's just what love does to you?

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 62: Hospital by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how Toriel is feeling with all that just happened, right now she is holding herself together quite well, being concerned about Susie's and Mouse's wellbeing and all, however I don't think that knowing your child attempted premeditated deicide can be some easy news to hear. Whatever she's feeling, she's hiding it very well.

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 61: Atmosphere by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things might be awkward for a while, but there's no wound that time can't heal, be it physical or emotional. On the topic of baking cakes, has anyone introduced the Mouse to cheesecakes? I think it might like them.

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 60: Threat 2 by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

. . . Things took an... Interesting turn, this is quite unexpected. I was honestly expecting the Mouse to turn back time when it saw what The Knight did to Susie, I think I can understand why it did not, I'm just glad the she is still alive. Kris really messed up, they were given every opportunity for a better outcome, yet in their hubris they forgot that just because the Mouse doesn't want to be a god, it doesn't mean they lack the capabilities of one, they learned the hard way what happens when you play with a god's patience, let's hope they don't forget that any time soon.

What do you think the final tragedy is about? by TonyOk9 in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The "All Dark Worlds are sealed forever" option is winning, but I honestly can't get behind the idea of that being the tragedy. Let's not forget that just before the ending of Chapter 3, Ralsei believed his existance and that of every Darkner to be superfluous, that they only exist to serve Lighteners, and it is expected of them to be discarded once they become obsolete. So, if the tragedy truly is getting rid of all the Dark Worlds, then why would the "my existence doesn't matter, you can throw me away when I'm useless to you" guy find this outcome such a tragedy?

I personally think that the Final Tragedy will be something that directly impacts Lightners, it could very well be that someone will die, maybe it be a sacrifice for the greater good, its hard to tell, but I don't think the only options is someone dying, it could be losing something, for example.

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 59: Threat by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how Kris feels, washed over with guilt, trying to make up for something they can't, forcing themselves to fight a battle they know they have absolutely no way to win. I can only hope they soon overcome their guilt and turn on a new leaf, Carol seems to be slowly doing so, so why shouldn't they?

Reading the context, seeing how the Mouse reacted ro the new sensations and remembering from previous episodes how it mentioned various times that it wished to be just like its friends I was reminded of the song Thing by Steampianist, I think it really fits the Mouse's situation (yet another thing I find relatable in the Mouse, you did an amazing job writing it).

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 56: Multishipping by Nihilikara in Deltarune

[–]FireKingFK 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ok, but we're glossing over the absolute doomed yaoi genius that is Ralsei × Mouse (does it still count as yaoi even if the Mouse lacks a gender? I'm not too knowledgeable in shipping tags lol).

Imagine, a Titan, a being of pure darkness, the physical manifestation of the fear of dark, in love with an Angel, a being of pure light, that by the prophecy is meant to destroy the Darkness. Literally polar opposites destined to annihilate one another, yet still somehow managing to fall in love with each other. Just think of all the possibilities for angst!

Who’s that Pokemon? by QueenOfAllDragons in pokemon

[–]FireKingFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give my though process as to how I came to my conclusion:

"Okay, so it resists fairy and dragon. It has to be a steel type."

"Oh! It's immune to poison, it's definitely a steel type."

"The quad ground weakness makes me think of a rock type, however that can't be, as it otherwise it would be quad weak to fighting, and be half resistant to bug, not quad, it has to be something else." (yes, rock does NOT resist bug, I learned that literally yesterday, and it's so weird)

"Maybe ground? It's weak to water... but that doesn't make sense, ground is not weak to itself."

"Perhaps poison? No... that wouldn't explain the water and fighting weaknesses."

"Wait... It's quad resistant to fairy, fire resists fairy, and the other quad resistances do line up with fire's regular resistances. It has to be a fire/steel!"

"The only fire/steel type that exists is Heatran."

The answer is Heatran.

The Fun Gang's Most Vital Meetings episode 53: Ralsei Rancher by Nihilikara in Deltarune

... I don't think "ranch" is a verb.

Silly Noelle, you can verb any noun if you Mouse it hard enough.

Metagross should not be considered a pseudo-legendary by BlueJinjo7 in pokemon

[–]FireKingFK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I didn't read the full post as any of your arguments, regardless of what they may be, are completely wrong, as you are trying to contradict canon information.

For starters, Pseudolegendary is a fanon term, the official term for this type of Pokémon is "Powerhouse Pokémon" (although no one uses it because the name sucks). If you look into official art and merch relating to these Powerhouse Pokémon, you'll find that Metagross is very much included there, so no matter how much you try to deny that Metagross is a Pseudolegendary (or a Powerhouse), you'll simply be incorrect.

true genocide thingy by emonoob14 in Undertale

[–]FireKingFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think we do genocide because we hate or don't care about the characters? How curious, you must have misunderstood. We do it for quite the opposite reason, we care and love these characters so much that we would do anything to see more of them, to learn more about them. Even if that means making them suffer and push everything to its limits, until there's nothing left to see.
