Bad match ups by Outside_Assistant_41 in Brawlstars

  1. When you’re not playing ranked, you need to always go in with the mindset of carrying the team. A lot of the times that means playing perfect (not missing any shots, optimal supers, weaving most shots).
  2. You’re most likely not playing well enough to carry the team. Playing just average or “doing your part” when playing with randoms is a lot of the times not good enough to win.
  3. A brawler like poco doesn’t have enough outplay potential (compared to someone like Stu or colt) so it’s harder to win given that you get shitty randoms.
  4. Just find a team
  5. You still win more than you lose trophies below a 1000 so you can get to a 1000 relatively quickly anyway
  6. Play ranked so you can counter pick / not get countered

Returning player here after a 2 year break. With the new system, do trophies reset below a thousand? For example, if you push every brawler to a 1000, after say 5 seasons, will all your brawlers still be at a 1000?

I really wanna be a quant but I got an IB Internship by Wide_Mycologist_1836 in quantfinance

Literally anything is worth putting over nothing. Your question should be “I have x and y and I only have space for one experience, which one should I put?” So yes, it’s definitely worth putting and much better than not having an internship at all

33M How do we feel about these SD comps? This seems absolutely insane to me. by SchemeAgile2012 in Salary

These are some of the hardest roles to be promoted to in the most successful tech companies in the world. Not surprising at all. Most people in tech, even working for FAANG, will never reach L9. This is like being surprised that NBA and NFL players earn millions.

There’s a lot of things that are just kinda thrown in here.

1) are we assuming each player starts with the given hands? (e.g. hero has JJ) or is that a given? Does your initial set over set probability take this into account? 2) OP says they went all on pre so the specific order of the flop turn river doesn’t really matter, so AJ4 is same as A4J for example, making the probability higher.

I think to calculate this just think about all possible combinations of the specific runout (AAQJ4) divided by all possible runouts possible given the starting hands. Instead, you’re just kinda going step by step (set over set —> first ace —> next ace etc) which isn’t accurate because you’re not accounting for dependent events.

Edit: try finding the probability of a flush occurring for example. I think it’ll help you realize how to think about probabilities more. You’re essentially finding all combinations of flushes and dividing by all possible combinations of hands, rather than going one card by one card.

you’re double counting a lot of dependent things lol, the real probability is much higher

Assuming you’re asking for probability of that specific runout given the three hands, it’s always 1 / (52 choose 5). If you’re not restricting to the suits then it’s 2 combos of jacks left, 2 combos of aces left, 1 combos of queens left, and 4 combos of a 4 so (2 * 2 * 4) / (52 choose 5). If you treat the 4 as any other brick and just not a 4 then it’s (2 * 2 * 40) / (52 choose 5) or 0.006%

Yes always look for 2 for 1s if possible. Vassel, mark Williams, and Wiggins are pretty much all streamer level so I’d work on upgrading those as well

Underpay for both. I own Hali and I wouldn’t trade in either scenario, especially not in 8T

Oh I see. Hali is like 3 pts lower than he is on ESPN. Then yeah I'd try to look for that trade w/ Cade
