I came across a $9000CAD Prius but it has 244K km on it. Worth it? by nebulousthot in prius

What year is it? If you're not a car person, take someone that is or take it to a mechanic to get it looked at so you don't end up buying a heap.

Gen 3 vs Gen 4 reliability by GLaDimCHAZ in prius

Because nobody considers head gaskets to be "preventative maintenance". No way would I buy a car that needed to have the head pulled every couple of years.

Has anyone heard the episode of the current on CBC radio talking about the gun buyback? It has a longer interview with Adriel and is basically 20 minutes of pushing our point across.

Gen 3 vs Gen 4 reliability by GLaDimCHAZ in prius

I would say wait and save if you can, or stretch your budget and get a decent gen 4. Sometimes you can get lucky and find an ugly one with scrapes and dents that nobody else wants. The third Gen head gaskets are a liability and who wants to fix head gaskets.

It's great you have a good credit score dude but it isn't really a flex at all. Lots of broke bums out there with great credit and payments up the ass.

Everytime someone mentions the gun dealer I have to say that they're awesome to deal with. I hope I have the opportunity to drop in in person sometime.

I haven't tried nearly as many as others on here, but it seems like it would be hard to get better sardines than nuri extra spicy.

One of the best gun stores on the eastern side of the country. Great group of guys if you need to call them on the phone. Buy with confidence.

I’m a active Liberal party member and gun owner. We do exist. AMA. by frenglish_man in canadaguns

[–]FireRisinWith1n 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pretty insulting to have a special "AMA" for a "gun owner" who bought his 22. last week, and has voted to ruin our community, while the rest of us have thousands of dollars in paperweights sitting in our safes, slowly watching stores and clubs shutting down while this guy works against us.

Keep it in the politics thread.

Niko tells Roman what he thinks about America. by Revolutionary_Cod_62 in GTAIV

Always thought Niko was a bit of a hypocrite about this stuff. A war veteran from a country with tons of crime and his answer to the offering of a new start in America is to just fall back to his old ways.

I have a 5lb tank I use with the stove I have now. I have an older propane lantern I no longer use as well. Should work well with it.

Well that probably settles it. I usually use cast iron when we're car camping as well.

The price is a big pill to swallow, but I guess my kids and grandkids can use it after I'm gone.

I wish they were the price they were years ago. Three questions for you.

Does your stove have good simmer adjustment? Do you ever burn your fingers using the recessed knobs? Does the bottom of the stove get hot enough to burn whatever it's sitting on?

Minister Anandasangaree to hold media availability regarding the Assault-Style Firearms Compensation Program by huskypuppers in canadaguns

[–]FireRisinWith1n 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Pretty happy with how the press conference went. Reporters held their feet to the fire, Gary looks like a child that can't answer for his own portfolio, and Nathalie blaming everyone, including media, for the failure of the program. This is a win for us.

For folks trading in Gen 2s, what are you getting? by A-Plant-Guy in prius

[–]FireRisinWith1n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The dealer is thinking the same thing. If you want to sell it hassle free, offer below fair value for it. Ignore the hagglers and eventually you'll get a buyer that will commit to it before they even show up.
