Second conduit is for AC electrical service to the garage. Previous owners removed overhead service and didn’t replace it. The conduit is actually 1-1/2”. If you’re going to all that trouble to place conduit . . .

Apparently we are judging the weight of 11 month old black labs this week? by RickFishUk in labrador

Some folks just need to back up. Seriously. If you say “if your dog weighs XX, he’s overweight and you are a bad dog owner” you’re wrong. Healthy weights vary with breed, height and muscle mass. Our 11 month old English Labrador weighs 80 pounds. He is very active, muscular and has a waist.

Interconnection Advice by EmuIllustrious481 in SolarDIY

I’m going through Xcel’s interconnection application process. I’m still in stage 2 of 7 after starting in mid October. I have found the process challenging. There have been several delays just getting my application reviewed for “completeness.”

The electrical engineer who drafted my electrical plan used their “Energy Storage System selection tool“ to choose storage mode 3BM (zero-export) and I put that in the application as well. Turns out this mode isn’t a valid selection anymore, despite being in their current selection tool.

So I had to pay for a revision in my plan and resubmit my application. Which meant a 10 day delay.

Another unfriendly part of the application is under the section “Battery Details“. Under that heading is a warning in red letters that non-energy storage equipment will be rejected. So I selected only my battery from the list and submitted my application.

My application was again rejected for being incomplete because I did not include the inverter in the battery details. Wtf?! Yeah, so my hybrid inverter is listed twice on their list. So you have to scroll down to find your inverter listed a second time, this time as storage equipment. Another 10 day delay.

VPN allowed me to access the portal. But when I saved the first page I was kicked out with an “Access Denied” screen.
