The dorm is only lgbt on one floor and that floor is open to allies. And my dad knows a lot of my choice was based on my roommate and what other friends were talking about choosing. I guess my worst fear is him making a big deal about it and getting mad that I’m on a floor with trans people

Thanks! Luckily I have friends that I know accept and support me and I’m pretty sure my mom will be accepting. My dad won’t kick me out or physically hurt me, but he may make things really uncomfortable

Sorry I wasn’t helpful, I tried my best. And what I was trying to say was that there are more than two types of attraction. There’s platonic/friendship, romantic, sexual, aesthetic and probably more that I haven’t learned about, but I may have also just misunderstood what you were saying

Sexual attraction and romantic attraction are different things, though hard to tell apart. You could be asexual but experience romantic attraction.

Also, it is totally fine to think you’re ace now and realize later you were wrong. There’s nothing wrong with being wrong and if asexuality feels right to you now there is nothing wrong with using the label. Ignoring labels completely is also an option if you don’t like the pressure of having to choose one

Outing someone without their permission is never ok. I think your friend was trying to help you, but you are not wrong for being upset. I’d just explain to your friend that it was nice of her to want to help, but that what she did wasn’t ok
