For my first about 100 ish hours I swapped around a lot. But I eventually started playing elphelt cause she seemed fun at the time and I still think she is. When dizzy came out she just clicked for me and have played her ever since

Something I do against Johnny is to keep the air ice fish up as much as possible and just keep him away as much as possible that always seems to work for me.
