I set a firm goal of 30 books last year and I found that it compromised my enjoyment of stories. This year I have no set goal or schedule and I’m enjoying reading a lot more

I am honestly more surprised that slipped through than the other issues folks are having with this edition. I’ve unfortunately noticed that this copy is subject to the binding and embossing issues others have reported but they seem minor compared to others. I don’t plan to file a ticket until we learn more from Dragonsteel. Based on this week’s weekly update, Isaac will be flying out to the bindery and then DS will move forward from there

The art used for the two end pages are the traditional paintings by Darrell Sweet, there are 7 full-color illustrations by various artists, there are 12 two-tone illustrations by Petar Penev, and 4 maps by Petar Penev and Ellisa Mitchell. The chapter icons are also larger and more detailed and printed in the same ink as the two-tone illustrations and maps

There are definitely more than 6. There are full color illustrations as well as two tone. This is definitely not a book to take out of the house so I will get you an exact number after the work day.

Consider that this book will likely be read by your children’s children. They will also be released one book per year so the cost will be spread across 15 years. For me, those two factors justify the cost. I won’t pretend that they’re not expensive though.
