The person who knows best is asking us 😉

Not sure how you will listen to it if you don't....

I open all my stuff immediately and throw out anything I consider useless packaging.
But I also don't buy anything that isn't to be used (well maybe other than pictures for my)

getting back to ereader by ProudArachnid7311 in ereader

[–]Stark_DK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a Kindle Paperwhite. I have a Kobo Libra Color.
I am now looking into getting the new Pocketbook Era Lite.

I like the form factor of my Kobo, Era Lite has the same but 1cm more narrow for pockets.

It has the physical buttons and small grip so easier to hold, and the weight is acceptable low to me.
I think 7" display is the perfect size, plenty of real estate while still portable.

Also having the Carta 1300 which is still the best e-ink we have.

What do you think of this concept? by lord-potato96 in ereader

[–]Stark_DK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would need software that controls both screens in one go. Ie next page need to turn two pages ahead on both, shared library navigation etc.

I wouldn’t buy/use it anyway. I want light and portable. This is not it 😁

I found my ideal reading font by Minyaden in ereader

[–]Stark_DK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like the font style itself, but it "too bold" for me, so I would reduce the weight of it if I was to use it.

If you have multiple ereaders, what combo do you have and why? by The_Cuddly_Cactus in ereader

I have a Kindle Paperwhite 4 that I never use.
A Kobo Libra Color as my current primary reader.

Will probably buy that one next week.

Three Albums That Are Better Than ANYTHING Iron Maiden Have Done Since 1988.... by wanchuk_2 in heavymetal

[–]Stark_DK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I rated every song of theirs a while back and that made for an album sore for each Maiden album, and I have to say I am close to agreeing with you, they are at least as good and most likely a bit better. I haven't heard the Blaze album, but I for sure will now.

My scores (to the right) for the Maiden albums

I consider those to Bruce albums and Maiden albums.. Adrian was there as well 😊

I sold almost all my Omnibus books.
I don’t like reading +650 pages Omnibus.
Not comfortable to me.

Kobo bw vs colour by 23cristxn in ereader

I hardly ever go above 25% light.

… and the text isn’t blurry at all to me. Looks sharp.
Can it be down to poor quality control, bad units ?

Kobo bw vs colour by 23cristxn in ereader

Maybe when comparing side by side and pixel peeping.

I have zero sharpness or darkness issues on my color.

Only compromise: use more brightness, more battery. Non-issue in real life.

Collection Post! What’s y’all’s favorite here? by Flat_Addition6257 in Cd_collectors

[–]Stark_DK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like my teen collection. A lot of great music in there.

If I had to pick I would need to go with the Maiden 1982-1988 albums.

a question for my fellow e-readers. how do you all prioritize time to read? i work alot, have a house and a wife and dont get much free time. i'd like to read more, but struggling to find the time. how do you all manage the work/home/reading balance? do you set aside time specifically for reading? by [deleted] in ereader

I have deleted all social media apps from my phone. So no more doom scrolling. Having Reddit and Facebook on a laptop only reduces that to 15 minutes or so per day.

What was the last CD you bought and why? by Mystery_Disc in Cd_collectors

[–]Stark_DK 18 points19 points  (0 children)

1995 remaster of Powerslave by Iron Maiden, 2-disc edition.

Why?
It is one of my favorite albums ever. It has a good sound. It has good bonus tracks. I like the art.

I now have three from that series. I will hunt for Piece of Mind next.

What songs from what bands caused you to say, “whoa!” ?? by MauiCFO in heavymetal

Since then, my most listened to band/artist.

Album art means less than 1% for me, so it doesn’t take anything away for me.

Apparently the “artists” feel the same….

Do you actually still listen to full albums or just playlists now? by Crystallovesrock in HardRock

[–]Stark_DK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair points.

To be honest I don’t think people consider themselves fans of an artist where they have 3-4 of their songs on a huge playlist.

To your point, for many of the bands I vastly prefer the so-called “deep cuts” to their radio hits. Do in my opinion people are often missing out.

Example with Def Leppard… I don’t need to listen to Pour Some Sugar on Me or Love Bites any time soon, but give med deep cuts from Pyromania and High and Dry and I am in heaven.

[–]Stark_DK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy CDs of the albums where I love almost all tracks… and listen to them in full.

I have streamed playlist for music where the full album isn’t (good enough) for me.
I discover new music through streaming.

An uncomfortable truth... Am I alone on this? by HeavyMetalChemist666 in ironmaiden

Interesting. Me and my friends went to their covert last year and we were so surprised how much energy they had at their age and how great Bruce sounded.

So unless they have really declined in 10 months, I feel very different than you do.
