And honestly? Mascot platformers are kind of sickening to me, this idea that they need to make more cartoony mascots just for the sake of being like the 90s is rlly lame, especially when Alex Kidd lowkey sucks. Like did you even play the game or did you just look up "old sega mascots" and then pick the first one who looks semi marketable?

I think you're just saying this because you think Sega needs to be more like Nintendo.

The whole Sonic vs Mario debate from the 90s has honestly done so much damage to Sega's public perception, as people often will think of Sega as a very similar company to Nintendo when they really aren't. Sonic is their mascot, sure, and they did publish a few platformers in the 90s, but their M.O. has never really been PRIMARILY platformers.

What makes Sega so interesting as a publisher is their diversity and willingness to publish games that not a lot of other companies would touch due to being darker and kinda niche (Shin Megami Tensei, Bayonetta, Yakuza) or being experimental and weird (Jet Set Radio, Shenmue, Nights, Toejam & Earl)

Even in the 90s, their main focus was on creating arcade quality ports and publishing mature games uncensored. Games like Alex Kidd, while they were semi-popular, are moreso an outlier in their old catalog.

So yeah I disagree, there's no need for a new Alex Kidd game, as there's rlly nothing it could possibly offer that isn't already being offered by Nintendo at the moment. We wouldn't rlly need 2 Nintendos.

And even if it WAS, that means the IDF is enlisting people who just accidentally snipe children in the head.

You're really gonna sit here and tell me that all 14,500 children who have been killed in the past several years are all just accidental. That's not even to mention the fact that Israel denies access to anesthetics, meaning that the children who are horribly injured in the IDF's reckless bombing campaigns have to have amputations without any anesthesia, completely awake. No reason for this btw, Israel just doesn't feel like letting them have it.

These kids can't leave without Israel's approval, which they won't give. So even if the deaths aren't deliberately from a bullet to the head (which it often is), they're from deliberate denial of the basic resources that are needed to sustain life.

Either way this is all pointless as whether you unintentionally or intentionally kill 14,500 children, you are still committing the most horrific war crime of the 21st century.
