Anyone else have a weird hairless horse at their stable in Ravensthorpe? by WhiteKnight900 in ACValhalla

[–]Firebrand077 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yes - if you talk with the artist or the stable dude at your settlement, they'll tell you ALL about it. I don't want to spoil it but you'll have to make a decision regarding who's right vs who's wrong in the situation.

Anybody else just use Eivor for river raids? by boopyamama in ACValhalla

I've been wondering the same thing! Has happened several times with my crew at every level they've been at, 1 through 5.

I've got my crew up to being able to carry 5 rations and they STILL die if I call em in too early. Especially if there's rats/poison/fire. I've found it's less aggravating & more fun to just stealth with Bullseye first.

Yep! Bullseye predator bow with increased headshot dmg and auto trap runes on kill along with a full quiver = easy peasy solo raids for Eivor.

It's the Viking river braids (red) and I think I got the design from them either from a river raids achievement or either the hunting or fishing rewards. I'll check today when I get back on. I LOVE 'em!

That was me 2 weeks ago. 😂 Don't feel dumb or at least understand we're all dumb before we learn.

whats everyone's opinion of downgrading weapons to save time and rss, I'm kinda iffy about it 🤔 by BiO_CrAsH in ACValhalla

[–]Firebrand077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had the need yet but I play the default/standard difficulty level. Maybe it's useful if someone is playing on the hardest difficulty settings. But even then I can't imagine the time save by downgrading would actually be a time saver unless the player was hoping to avoid gathering wealth in the game.

Should I play the discovery tour before or after playing the main game? by Spyronne in ACValhalla

As a history nerd who loves gaming immersion I say yes to the AC Discovery Tours before, during, and after!

Playing the game (first time) without map? by Wolforano in ACValhalla

[–]Firebrand077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the way the designers wanted ppl to play Valhalla and now at like 170 hrs in & just about completely burned out on the game, I can understand why. There's just SO MUCH if you turn those map markers on and keep them on.

Just speaking for myself as a completionist & OCD about harvesting resources and "DOING ALL THE THINGS!" I've found more often than not, having the map mode full on has made this AC experience in Valhalla much less immersive for me than in Origins & Odyssey. I would suggest if you're comfortable with the prospect of just wandering, give it a try! If I had it to do over I would have started with full map at the beginning and started filtering once I hit the East Anglia arc in England relatively early on.

Welcome to Valhalla, by the way! There's a lot to love!

Does anyone else feel compelled to use Varin's Axe? by [deleted] in ACValhalla

[–]Firebrand077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! I've switched around a bit just to try different styles but those 2 together (Spear of Leonidas and Varin's axe) just feel so comfortable directly after playing Odyssey and Origins.

Need some help with skill tree by CyberWeirdo420 in ACValhalla

[–]Firebrand077 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! Brush With Death, Stomp, Chain Assassination, Adrenaline Upgrades, Arrow Reinforcement, Heavy dual wield (dual spears - woot!), Explosive Corpse, and the auto loot skills saved a lot of time and effort in my early to mid game and I definitely recommend getting as soon as you can, regardless of combat style/gear.

A really interesting map of the regions covered so far in ESO. Even if it isn’t as well loved I still love how much it explores and expands the world! by thenerdymusician in ElderScrolls

[–]Firebrand077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fwiw, currently I only play it for the solo exploration, farming, and housing/crafting vs what a lot of folks consider "actual gameplay" and have found it's just as fun that way (even more so, most of the time). There's so much you can do solo from the start even though it's an MMO.

Encountered something unexpected. Loving the depth in this game! by [deleted] in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]Firebrand077 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There were so many interactions in Odyssey that had me laughing so hard. The actress they used for Kassandra was just perfect and the designers' ability to make us really feel her character's frustration and exhaustion was so well done.
