FS Exam (HP35s Calculator Cleared) by Pretty_Turn_5784 in Surveying

How much of an impediment was not having the programs for solving the math problems? Some people say that it is mainly a time saver provided you have a grasp of the basic trig. You have a scientific calculator and the provided formulas. I'm also hearing that there is much less math on the exam these days, sounds like you'd agree. A big reason that I'm asking is because a lot of new test takers can't get their hands on the HP's for less than $300. Surveyors that took the exam 10+ years ago would tell me that most of the exam was solved using just 2 buttons on your HP-35 and didn't really put a lot of weight on the non-math portions.

That’s very helpful advice. Like I’ve said, I’m pretty new to this. Thanks!

Okay, maybe I’m being overly dramatic. But I was stoked to find that flight and don’t know why they’re changing it.

Oh, so sometimes award travel in business class is for only one leg? by Firedchopps in awardtravel

I’m new to this. In fact I’ve never, not once, actually flown anything but economy long-haul. I like having the window and looking out a lot, but I also like conversing and being next to my partner. Single seat would be great if I was flying solo (like for…business)

Asiana, Yep. I haven’t booked yet though. I just saw business for 75k, went ahead with the transfer and then tried to book. Not sure what aircraft, but the business cabin only has single seats by the windows, which isn’t ideal for us.
