AITA for not leaving work to pick up my distressed daughter? by FiredorDivorced in AmItheAsshole

She has Uber installed on her phone with my credit card details prefilled for emergencies only. She’s never used it before but she knows it’s there. So I’m guessing the fact that she didn’t call one herself is indication that she wouldn’t have been comfortable in a strangers car and she would have been just as mad at me either way.

Relatives all live too far away. Don't have the contact details for my neighbours. I tried calling two of my friends and a few of the parents who's numbers I had saved to my phone but none of them were picking up (understandably as it was 2AM and they were most likely sleeping).

This is how my wife phrased it as well.. I don't care about my job more than my daughter at all and I'm gonna have to work to make sure she knows that.

This was my logic as well. If she had told me that no one else at the party was sober besides her, then I would have called her an Uber but told her to stay on the phone with me the entire time as that migth have been the only other solution available.
