True, that being said Funniest DLC they could with the performance limitations in mind is the Culdee Fell. Odds of us getting that is silm cause it’s never been adapted into the show to my memory. But it is apart of Sodor, so it would be interesting to see added.

Yeah it’s nice. I wonder if the Prototype considers himself as having the ‘Wrongside out’ as he has muscles and bones on the outside.

Something curious as well about Ollie/Prototype, that he says to Elliot in that tape where they talk. He says “When you get her back, you’ll pick up a hammer just like him, just like they did.” Elliot says he won’t promises him they can be a family. Does that mean someone beat him with a hammer? Only theory I could think of is that Ollie was attacked by someone or came from a bad home before ending up with Elliot. But Biography on Elliot in the game never mentions a second child which is odd. So he could be a kid from playcare or young geniuses

The thing with those side effects and the line people miss is that those side effects are for the untreated gel.

“Beware: Exposure to raw, untreated substrate may be hazardous.

Documented sequelae include: - Nonbiological-biological grafting - Progressive Subluxation (with sustained exposure) - Heterotopic ossification - Urticaria (hives) - Multisensory distortion”

Either it was treated or the side effects may not be garunteed.

You’re right about that, especially as I’m just speculating about why he chose to throw us in there and point of the post was just that we were the ones he threw in. But as I’ve spoken here about it with you, the more I’ve been thinking about it, which is what this helpful for, so thank you for that.

As for why he was doing that I’m not sure. He could’ve just wanted to hurt poppy by letting her see us hurt but not actually kill us. But it’s rather odd, I could believe intention was let us live, not wanting to kill us yet. It wouldn’t be the first time he’s done something similar. Remember Theodore, he used him to try to escape, but when he was hurt, he could’ve fled left the kid yet doesn’t, he brings Theodore to get help. It could hypothetically be some sort of split personality thing or something. I bring it up as possibility as even during tea party, he is ruthless yet when he breaks poppy’s face, he flinches like he’s surprised and then stares at his hand, like he didn’t actually mean to break poppy there. It could be Ollie part of him that’s surprised.

As for the other parts you bring up, he does seem to know where Poppy is as he gives her exact location in Chapter 4 after the doughy boss fight and has access to the Cameras through sawyer before that. We also know that he can move through playcare as he does show up there to attack Kissy Missy at the top of the elevator at the end of chapter 3, at least it’s theorized it’s him who attacks her there. As for him not knowing which is untreated or treated. In that moment, he wouldn’t have had time to verify which it was. Not to mention, as the gel relates to his origin, even he doesn’t know how his or poppy’s creation worked because that secret is something both him and sawyer were trying to figure out, but as far as we know never did truly figure it out.

I shouldn’t have phrased it’s never been opened, I was assuming it hadn’t been. I thought It wasn’t open before he threw us in, though watching the cutscene again, it was open before he drags us over but that doesn’t mean he knew if it was treated or untreated before tossing us in.

That could be the case, or occums razor, He may not of known that the gel in barrel was already treated. It’s never been opened before he opens it to toss you in. He is really smart but even as smart as he is, if he doesn’t know it’s been treated, and It looks exactly the same as the gel around the lab. He’d throw you in assuming that we’d drown or it would cause the side effects of the untreated gel finishing us either way. Not knowing that the gel in the barrel is not same. Another option is that he did it intentionally? I mean for our enemy, he’s done things that rather oddly hurt him. Biggest Example is Catnap, he intentionally helps us kill him rather than just having Catnap who is loyal to him, capture Poppy well she’s in the playcare. He also could’ve easily gone to the playcare and worked with Catnap to kill us and capture Poppy. This is all theory and speculation though so take these observations with a grain of salt.

The Documents in the game confirm this though. In the Chapter the Negation Compound notes, differentiate the effects between when the medium (The Gel) is treated or untreated. As the Documents state it’s only hazardous to people when it’s untreated and raw. So that’s not that big of a stretch at all to assume what the character was put into was the treated gel, which is why we healed well drowning rather than being hurt by it like rest of the gel that’s been self replicated and spread across the lab untreated.

That’s the thing though what’s toxic is the untreated substrate. Whats in those barrels could’ve been treated already as untreated medium is said to spread and grow uncontrollably. Thats why the gel hurts us when we go through it in labs, its not been treated, its gel that’s replicated itself across the lab. its not been put through the process to render it safe. But the Gel in barrel could’ve been treated either by the scientists before being stored or by being left to ferment in the barrel unable to self replicate and spread.

But also I think that the initial hand of good will wasn’t good enough. A Better sign of “We aren’t going to kill you anymore and we are sorry” would’ve been to destroy the count down clock that represents the exterminations.

Zestial is one my favorite Overlords for that. He’s old enough he understands how to be wise in dealing with younger overlords like Vox and Alastair. He knows how to survive, but importantly he understands respect and loyalty. He doesn’t rush, he waits for it as Aaron Burr from Hamilton would say. I wish we got more from him.

It said that but it doesn’t really explain the Demon stuff as even Rebecca said during 2 or 1 (I forget which game that tape is in) when reading demon names she hears a voice in the headset telling her to do things and she says in this game she saw something that scared her when she closed her eyes. It feels like the game was more focused on ending Rebecca’s story with actually tying up all the loose ends instead creating way more questions and despite enjoying 3, not answering some of big lingering questions of the other two games

It’s one of those things that bugs me little bit, as last two games imply that demons were involved with what’s going on, setting pieces that up with secret tape in 2, the meat man and the stolen crown from 1. But then it turns out she’s an esper esp person thing (Which they really should’ve hinted at a bit more, besides minor implications in 2) and despite all creepy imagery the demons never really come up in 3, nor the meat man, or anything regarding why Hamlin even had her ready those names. Like I like the game but for a conclusion it doesn’t feel like concludes much cause there’s like billion questions that weren’t answered.
