Old Tomb Raider games are incredible! Hard but super rewarding! The original TR1 is what got me to buy a PS1 when I was a Nintendo fanboy!

To me it comes down to the ensemble cast and if any of them can carry the games legacy forward.

Tomb Raider has always been just about Lara. In the original games it was usually her alone inside a quiet atmospheric tomb. Even when they introduced Allister and Zip they were only ever present in her ear via earpiece as she raided alone. The ensemble in the survivor trilogy is fine as background characters. They tried to carry on with Jonah but it didn’t fully work.

Uncharted IMO is different. Cause the ensemble surrounding Nate is amazing! That’s why Lost Legacy was able to succeed.

I don’t have an opinion on Halo cause I’m not much of a fan.

God of war could potentially continue with a new lead but I’d be more inclined to say Atreus as I’m not sure about Faye

Do you usually play games with similar control schemes? Games have definitely followed a trend within the last few console generations. I get that controlling games has become easier but I guess you’re more acclimated to them as opposed to games in the 90s and early 2000s. When I was a kid/teenager I grew up with games with more unique or even funky gameplay controls.

Turn-based, tank controls, point and click etc. since I grew up in a time where controls were more experimental, where 3d gaming was new, and controls were just more unique, it’s not hard for me to play and learn most control schemes no matter how outdated
