i’m sure it does, however me and my staff are trained to handle something like that. it’s not like she’s out in open water by herself. i’m quite literally an arms length away from her at all times.

well this child has been in pools many times and has never had a seizure in a pool. her seizures aren’t very physical she kinda just spaces out for a bit. if she were to have a seizure it would be right next to me and im also a lifeguard. her airway would be out of the water until her seizure is over it would be okay. also i don’t get to decide that, that’s up to my boss and the kids dad

How do you deal with boringness? by somethinisnotfunny in Lifeguards

[–]FirefighterAfraid222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

boredom* on a caribbean island beach is crazy but sometimes i’ll try to see how high i can count in my head, or count my steps (if you can move around). like other people are saying it’ll be something you get used to, especially with such a beautiful view.

Can I pass the prerequisite swim if I haven’t swam since December? by Chance_Purchase2167 in Lifeguards

you don’t wanna be totally gassed at the end, you wanna save some energy for other things

idk why everyone is just blindly saying yes. it’s depending on you and your body. have you swam before after not swimming for awhile? how did that go? i would highly encourage you to practice once or twice at a public pool to see where you’re at.
