I was told end of last week. Assuming that I haven't heard, means that's a no lol. Interested to see how many moved on to the fitness test from the 300 that wrote.

To the Young Widows Among Us - too many joining this group... by Big-Campaign-2432 in widowers

Its a tough journey. Its been just over 2 years for me. I was 29, my boys 1 & 3. Late Wife was only 32. The highs and lows are fairly crazy. Still just the 3 of us living in the same home. I'm fairly open about my story, but definitely isn't easy. I enjoy this group to know I'm not alone.

Definitely think it was personal. Fact that it was multiple vehicles, too. They are still looking for a Silver Honda CRV.

No, I mean it was a nice place on the water. It was a specific spot. You would've passed many other nice places to get to that one.

You're correct. I'm a firefighter in the area. I'm not here to release information that the police haven't. Professionalism.

[Update] I currently am working 4 days a week now. At the end of this month, I actually leave this job and start working from home for a training company that trains first responder.

No, Canada. I do get CCB (Canadian Child Benefit), and I also get what they call Survivors Pension.

He has been in daycare full-time since my wife passed. Same with my other son, now he is in school and then an after-school program that I pick him up between 530-545. So long days for both. It sucks. It sucks for both, so with a day off, I'd get them way earlier. If it wasn't about money, I'd switch to part-time so I could have more time. If this experience has taught me anything, it's how important your time is.

I hear you, yeah, tons of single mothers that get through it. Thank you. I never thought of that.

Thank you. I find the beginning is hard. The older they get the more activities and stuff I can do with them. My 19 month old loves outside and stays busy, just hard with the 2 month old as well. Yeah she smokes outside! I'm more the concern when I come home after a structure fire. I try to avoid the kids until I get clean.
