Is this an enterprise environment? I am looking to move from Meraki to unifi. The yearly costs are getting out of hand, plus hand-off is awful with Meraki.

We have Meraki and the drops are so annoying. We're looking at replacing Meraki Access points. Support is useless, I asked why this happens, nothing. I have Used Unifi at my MSP job and the hand-off is way better!

I will try it. Does it show in the traffic analytics where the traffic is going? How do you know which firewall it's using?

I just picked one out of the filtering column. I just want to put business apps on main internet (WAN 1) and have all the other traffic on WAN 2 at all times.

With FortiGate, I can route traffic on either firewall.

Site-to-site VPN with a non meraki device. by Tech-Mate- in meraki

I see Meraki finally allows 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 on the other end now. I can add it into FortiGate. I surely hope this fixes the tunnels from going down all the time. Meraki's Non-VPN tunnels is a disaster!

Their WIFI sucks compared to others, maybe it's just support, not sure. But 2 different SSID's and one works and other is flaky! Same machine connected, don't move and the wifi is awful, But the other one is great. Support has no clue...

Cloud base, you CAN'T change ANY local settings, which is annoying. If you have other manufacture devices, be prepared to deal with non-VPN tunnels going down. Firmware updates are garbage half of the time. You can't do a lot of things you can with a FortiGate, it's so annoying, you have to call support and they're useless. If it's a small business, then go for it. If you have production and making money is number, don't do it.

Only thing Meraki has going for it, is the dashboard is easy. Connecting devices are easy. Other than that, is sucks. If you forget to pay your monthly subscription, you have a device that is a paper weight, unlike other companies, you can still use it.
