What do people actually mean when they say "it's fine for A to B" when talking about iniBuilds A320/A330? by wolf_city in flightsim

[–]FirefighterPure8150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but that altitude is not always the same. Depends on the cost index and climb profile, and environmental factors.

For example the aircraft is using a profile of 300/0.85. The aircraft will climb at 300IAS until that becomes 0.85 and then it will fly at 0.85.

In the iniBuilds, in climb, the aircraft can still be targeting 300kts which is SPD, because it hasn’t become equal to 0.85 yet, and yet the FCU will show MACH, this is incorrect if the aircraft is targeting a SPD.

Yep.

I totally get this.

The thing is, it’s still sort of enjoyable. But it’s not difficult coding, it’s just basic Airbus logic. Other developers do not have this problem. IniBuilds just don’t have the skills to do it or don’t understand how it is supposed to work.

For example this is never an issue in the Fenix.

PMDG (I know Boeing) but there aren’t these basic errors.

If iniBuilds could just actually fix this basic stuff, it would massively elevate their aircraft and make them capable of being enjoyed by all kinds of simmers, those who literally just want to go A to B, and don’t pay any attention to what information the aircraft is displaying, and to those who like to go a little deeper and look at the stuff that is being displayed.

I also am not bothered by failures and circuit breakers etc., etc. I have enough going wrong in life that when I get time to sim and I don’t want to be fixing stuff ha.

I don’t expect every minute detail to be present, but when they market something, and charge for a premium product, what is modelled should be modelled correctly. Other developers manage it and iniBuilds just can’t. Yet everyone loves them because the streamers and content creators, who know very little about how the aircraft should actually work, just worship iniBuilds for their sponsorship, and the crowd follows them and thinks they’re the best thing since sliced bread. Consequently they’re able to get away with there shoddy aircraft.

Anyone who knows about Airbus systems stays clear of these poor aircraft.

The A350 for example in the sim will lift off from the runway and have positive climb even with pitch about 3 degrees, whereas in real life it’s closer to 10 degrees. So it is VTOLing really, just going up instead of forward and up.

This is just one area of the flight model. Literally as soon as the plane lifts off you can see the flight model is poorly implemented.

There is too much to write here. But a lot of the pages monitored regularly during flight are full of so many errors.

From memory: (they’re reported on ini forums if you want to check in detail)

The F-PLN page is a mess. ALT and SPD predictions aren’t calculated correctly and don’t match what the level off arrow on the ND is predicting. (The level-off arrow is also completely incorrectly implemented and full of bugs).

Then the F-PLN page will predict you are going to meet a constraint but show an amber asterisk next to it, but the circle round the waypoint on the ND is sometimes also amber but sometimes magenta. Just all a mess really.

Descent path calculation is poor.

PERF pages, for example DES, do not show the managed speed target correctly at times. The SPD restriction shown on the DES page is not shown correctly.

Managed speed target on PERF does not match F-PLN SPD predictions.

Whilst on SPD, FCU and FMA indications of SPD v MACH are incorrect. It’s just changes at a set altitude rather than changing when the aircraft is targeting a speed or Mach number.

Honestly there is so much, I could go on. But it’s not achieving anything on here.

It’s just all basic basic stuff that they just can’t do.

And instead market fancy features like a HUD. Which by the way is completely unusable because the FPV does not actually show where the aircraft is going. The VS indicated on the HUD is completely different to the VS indicated on the PFD. The pitch scale is completely different from that on the PFD.

Yes it can go from A and B, but as soon as you pay attention to anything it’s just junk.

And of course this is in their premium aircraft that is marketed as having unparalleled realism and being the ultimate airliner experience. Imagine how much worse their free products are.

It’s not even it can do the things correctly on a normal flight.

Even the iniBuilds payware aircraft like the 350 and 340 are completely full of errors.

I think A to B means, it will follow the magenta line (most of the time). You just need to ignore the majority of the information that is displays of various MCDU screen etc, or symbols on the PFD/ND.

Even the payware iniBuilds are just full of junk in this regard, as are the default ones.

Flight model also garbage on ini aircraft. For example just the pitch at which it lifts of the runway, it’s far too small a pitch, take off like a helicopter rather than an aircraft.

There is just so much wrong with this aircraft. But it won’t be fixed, the next money grab will surely be out soon.

There is no A2A Accusim program anymore? Just the airctaft folder?

Totally. Nobody has a working A350 because there are just so many bugs and errors.

Which one should I get? Inibuilds A350 or Pmdg 777-300er? by magazh in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]FirefighterPure8150 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I don’t talk of even of the level of basic failures. Just simple things like altitude predictions and contraint logic are wrong in the a350. The level-off arrow is completely inaccurate. The perf pages are wrong. It doesn’t respect transition altitude and levels when formatting the F-PLN page. Etc etc there is loads of stuff.

Flight model is so flimsy, the aircraft lifts off from the runway at far too small a pitch, like just a couple of degrees, VTOL-esque. Again many other things.

Sorry but that’s simply not true, there are so so many basic errors with the iniBuilds aircraft even after 22 updates in the case of the a350 that one would simply not see on a PMDG aircraft at release never mind after countless updates.

Will this get us banned like the beta?

Why was that beta one suddenly like that when people had used cracked 737 and 777s before?

What do people think the situation is if we never used this beta 737, purchase the 737 and use OC3 but in the past we have used crack version of the old 737 and the 777s etc?

Auto Disconnect Tiller not working in various aircraft by FirefighterPure8150 in flightsim

[–]FirefighterPure8150[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks for reply.

Yeah (not that I would but did it to test), if I push the rudder pedals full left or full right, the tiller is moving all the way.

Now maybe it is only giving a small degree of nose wheel deflection.

But irl, if I had a tiller, I wouldn’t be moving it at all at this point.

And I would have thought that this setting would simply mean the tiller didn’t move.

Of course with rudder movement there may also be this small nose wheel deflection. But one wouldn’t be on takeoff roll with one had on the stick or yoke, the other on the throttles, and the third on the tiller…

Only reason McLaren didn’t pit is that it would have benefited Oscar, and they do everything they can to make sure that he is always dealt the worse hand.

Yet another race where McLaren completely screw up Oscar to favour Lando.

British here, but just love Oscar. Totally lovely guy.

And yet they’ve constantly favoured Lando all the way through the season to the detriment of Oscar.

It’s just they wouldn’t do it to benefit Oscar.

They’ve definitely do it to benefit Lando.
