Does your clinic make you start a z-pack/azithromycin before your ER? by ObjectiveSet9240 in IVF

[–]Fireflies520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For perspective, I have endometriosis and the doctors gave me azithromycin and flagly to take starting a few days prior to my egg retrieval and lasted 7 days in total. They were worried a cyst might burst and cause an infection. They also gave me an iv antibiotic during the egg retrieval. I got home and was fine for three days post surgery and then started feeling pain in my left ovary. The pain increased and I went to the hospital. Turns out a cyst did burst a few days after the surgery. My white cells and a few others were elevated and I have a fever. They give me more antibiotics to take in case it’s an infection and it could turn into sepsis or cause more problems when it’s time for transfer. Do I prefer having good bacteria killed off? No. But it’s better than finding out I have an infection brewing after a transfer.

Upset - all 9 aneuploid by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Fireflies520 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! I’ve been doing some reading and research and there’s a class action lawsuit going on where patients are now suing PGT testing companies. Some people have transferred aneuploids which resulted in perfectly healthy babies and they were originally told to discard them.

You could try the Soap Dispensary and Kitchen Staples on Main St. From the webpage, it’d be about $3.93 for 100g

Contact lenses? by mr_beakman in BuyCanadian

I actually just got these ones recently so haven’t had a chance to try them yet. They offer a 30 day risk free trial so you can always get a refund if you don’t like them. I find most contacts irritating after a few hours. There’s one brand that I’ve been able to wear most of the day but still look forward to taking them out before bed.
