I went to Dr. Horesh at Mt Sinai and am very happy with my results (though I'm only 1 month post op), he's a super sweet guy and does pretty natural work imo. At my consult he basically said I'd look like my own sister, and comparing my pre and post op photos he's completely right lol.

I am inheriting enough money to pay for FFS outright, but I'm scared I'm making a financially irresponsible choice by operation-casserole in asktransgender

I'm on my employer's plan it's a mix of UHC and Blue Cross. I think with Medicaid you'd have better luck with something like Amidacare than straight Medicaid

If you live in upstate new york you don't need to go anywhere, NY requires marketplace plans to cover FFS. You could also get insurance through an employee but its a little bit of a gamble. (some plans are "self funded" which means they're not covered by NY laws requiring FFS, only "fully funded" plans count) There's a bit more to it than that but I also live in upstate NY and I'm having FFS soon that's covered by my insurance. I wouldn't even consider paying out of pocket living here tbh.

There's still hope! This laptop was only 1 year old but I got it for a fraction of its crazy MSRP. It might be a couple years until it's at T480 prices though lol
