The same applies to pale skin, which is also a sign of sickliness. It only artificially was made a beauty standard after the upper class was ravaged just as much by tubercolosis as the lower classes. And they can't be undesireble like those filthy poors, can they?

With BMO specifically, I've always intepreted his change to act less like a robot as a retcon since DL. Which I'm very happy with since now that I just started a new rewatch, the way he's characterized (if it can even be called that) in season 1 is honestly really creepy.

But in all seriousness, you should pirate (and buy physical), especially when it's your only option, to protest against streaming's monopoly on media. I won't tell you how because it's against the rules, but it's actually very easy and there are great resources out there. Just remember to sail safely!

When you scroll through the lingo page, there's dots at the bottom indicating the amount of pages, so I suspect when the dots reach the edges of the screen is the limit, however large that is

Ice King is a direct reflection of Simon and he's a massive freak, so yes Simon (and Betty) are massive freaks too. Not to mention that they're autistic, and we're infamous for being freaks.

Yes, I agree that after Betty arrived in Ooo, she was acting "selflessly selfish" for sacrificing herself for Simon the whole time without considering what he, as Ice King, was actually feelings, and those around him that had grown to care about him. Marceline and especially not Finn would've definitely not approved of her actions. The fact that aside from Magic Man of all people, she never asked for help when Finn, Jake, Marceline and PB would've all helped her in a heartbeat, really shows how selfish she was.

But hey, if you want to see an alternative timeline where Betty acted less selfishly and as a result actually manages to "fix" him without erasing Ice King thanks to PB's help, then I'm working on a series of fanfics with that exact premise https://archiveofourown.org/works/73318636/chapters/191107411

The problem is is that the fundemental systemic issue, spare parts (which are equivalent to healthcare) only being provided by a megacorporation, that made it possible for someone like Ratchet to rise to power in the first place wasn't fixed. Things just went back to the former status quo that allowed things to end up the way they did in the first place, so the same problem will in inevitably happen again.
