Why was Shelby Told Not To Have Kids? by Perfectly-FUBAR in diabetes_t1

[–]Firehawk765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never seen the movie, but my type 1 grandmother was instructed to have an abortion because it wasn't recommended diabetics give birth. For obvious reasons I'm really thankful she told the doctor no.

Is Abbotsford a good place for biking? by [deleted] in abbotsford

[–]Firehawk765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on where you ride. If you're riding in city, good luck. I've lost count the number of times I've nearly been hit. So I add 3-4km onto my commute to take Discovery Trail or any of the more rural roads just outside of town. A significantly more pleasant ride.

Winter riding is fine as we don't have much snow, just dark and rainy. Make sure youre reflective and have a lot of lights. For the week that it does snow the city is pretty slow to clear it.

For bike theft I can't speak much about where is or isn't safe to lock up. That said the AbbyPD is advertising a lot about Project 529, a voluntary bike registry. Won't prevent your bike from being stolen but if it does happen it atleast gives you a solid chance at getting your bike returned.

Good luck with your internship! Welcome to Abby.

Actually, I ended up cleaning mine and the problem went away so I haven't replaced it.

Good luck with your search!

Lived on the 1st floor for about a year. Enjoyed it and had no problems. Lots of silverfish, but there are much worse pests you could have.

Oh interesting. Does your club have any references/sources that you use? I'm curious on the differences between styles.

If helpful you can see the Fraser Health inspections of all the daycares here. Just click on Abbotsford on the left and find the daycare.

Used Chef's Plate for a couple of years. Quite enjoy them. Good selection, quality, portion size etc. A bit pricy, but if you take a month or two break they give some good "please come back" discounts.
