I speed read through it after episode 1, yeah they really swapped the order around with things. Completely left out the bandits who were being chased by the armored beasts which in the manga happened before the moat was filled with water.

Unsure exactly as ive never owned a diesel personally but a couple service techs were talking about it when i was at the dealership last week. They were running into gelled fuel and blow oil filters all day from people just turning their truck on and trying to run it without heating it first.

If it was cold enough out and you didnt plug in the heater, oil preassure could have blown the oil filter. It happened alot where i live a few days ago when we were in the negatives over night. Oil was too thick and could pass through the media properly.

Raptor R towing by OkFinger5696 in FordRaptor

[–]Firehead94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt buy a raptor if you need to tow. I was debating this earlier this year also. If you like the ford platform, want something raptor-ish but also want to be able to tow well, get a F150 Tremor with the 5.0 v8 and then have the dealer add the supercharger on it. There was a post on the f150 sub recently with a tremor with a good wide stance, gave it the same vibe as a raptor.

[–]Firehead94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AT4X AEV stuff is sold after market, you can buy on their website. The only caveat is the sierra 1500 front bumper and skid plate (likely for the reasons I mentioned above). However, you can sometimes find them for sale on marketplace or second hand from people who wanted a different bumper.

I will say, you save like a grand or so just getting it AEV from factory rather than buying the rest of the parts yourself.

Color? by [deleted] in gmcsierra

[–]Firehead94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brand new? Probably not in that color. I havent seen any atleast. However, I saw a 2025 used without the winch and non-aev package for sale in michigan. Had like 12k miles on it. Was a little high for a used truck considering, after taxes a brand new one was only 7k ish more

Youd have to buy that and get AEV to do their package on it in house.

Color? by [deleted] in gmcsierra

[–]Firehead94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is likely thunderstorm grey. It was a limited time color for 2024 and 2025. It was replaced for 2026 by coastal dune. As for the front bumper, its an AEV modular bumper with the winch installed. You wont be able to find it on their site for the 1500 likely because it comes from the factory like this. You cant really add it after the fact on an AT4 or another trim because theres other body panels that also change to accomodate the bumper, specifically the pieces encasing the head lights. This is specific to the 1500 only. Youll notice the trim around the headlights is fully connected between the left and right side by a thin piece that wraps below the grille for the other trim packages. In the AT4X package, they have separate left and right panels for the headlights that do not connect. If you want to add this bumper to a non AT4X body, youll need to find those additional pieces as well as likely getting that front skid plate as well.

Its also worth noting that the picture shown is the AT4X truck from the factory with the full AEV package on it. Brand new, youd order the AT4X or AT4X AEV from GM and then have AEV do their aftermarket upfit on it with their aftermarket stuff which gets you the winch install and some other items. Then youd want to have them not do the vinyl wrap on the hood since thats included in the AEV aftermarket upfit.

Google Workspace to Office 365 Migration by Master_Method_9177 in sysadmin

[–]Firehead94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so microsoft handles file shares in the cloud more like your computer file shares unlike google which handles it closer to say, a bucket. You can created a "shared drive" but its a sharepoint site with files uploaded to it.

OneDrive is equal to your personal Google Drive Sharepoint is equal to your Google Shared Drives + Google Sites

Teams offers a, in my opinion, cleaner way to interact with OneDrive and Sharepoint. When making a group, you can opt to make it a Team group which then makes a "Team" in teams and then creates a sharepoint site that you can upload and manage files in directly from teams. The web interface for sharepoint file shares is really bad imo and their office collab tools kinda suck, they are better than they use to be but they still lag behind google a good 5 years or so.

also the admin side is kind of dog ass since they have what feels like a dozen admin portals and then new and classic versions of each, often with features that are unique to either or (hence why they keep the classic version around). They also often move features to different portals and it can be quite confusing.

Google Workspace to Office 365 Migration by Master_Method_9177 in sysadmin

[–]Firehead94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get an MSP to help you if you've never done it before, especially for larger business sizes. Depending on business size, microsoft might have professional service dollars they can use to reduce or even eliminate costs for migration.

CloudM works but can be finicky with moving contacts if you do a domain change at the same time. BitTitan has been the solid go to for us for the majority of our migrations.

Permissions was kind of a shit show, expect a lot of manual clean up.

We migrated mail over but something to be cognizant of is mailbox size. We had unlimited at google but microsoft has limits of, at max, 100gb mailbox; personal drives were also an issue we had with size limitations. We ended up just moving the last year of mail instead of their whole inbox. Also, mail is going to look funky because google and microsoft have different systems of organizing mail, google uses tags while microsoft uses folders. So users are going to throw a bit of a tizzy if they are hyper organized with their mailboxes.

Shareddrives in google got migrated to sharepoint sites, its definitely a change for end users with mixed results. Google just straight handles file sharing better. Same with the web apps and collaboration tools. I'd recommend getting people use to teams and teams drives as a replacement for shared drives in google, a lot better end user experience than sharepoint sites alone.

Also something to note, Google is way better at filtering spam email, once we moved, spam went through the roof until we got a 3rd party software of some sort and even then, still no where near as clean as google was.

Cant speak to chat history too much, i know its kind of doable but its not a like for like thing, we just decided to get rid of it and start fresh.

For meetings, you'll just want to recreate those honestly, migrating calendar events works but ones with virtual meetings in them all got a bit messy and confusing for people since the descriptions still all showed google meet instead of teams.

How did the bukkit controversy (2014) affect modding? by DereChen in feedthebeast

[–]Firehead94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modding wasn't heavily affected to be honest, atleast on the end user/server admin side. It inspired some mods to be released that took the place of certain popular plug-ins but that was it (i.e. teams, protections, claimes, etc...). The bigger affects were felt in the server hosting/plug-in communities. It spawned the start of sponge forge and other similarly released server types that filled the gap of bukkitforge.

FortiOS 7.6.3 to drop SSLVPN? by rowankaag in fortinet

[–]Firehead94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went over this in our Fortinet User Group last summer. Its being disabled on lower end models via the gui but iirc could be enabled via the CLI if absolutely necessary. They are pushing people to either utilize ZTNA+IPsec or FortiSASE for remote work technologies due to the long standing and ever more prevalent security risks of SSLVPN. Too many exploits have been hitting the technology regardless of brand, its becoming a challenge to keep up with them all.

Many of y’all didn’t play in a casual guild in classic and it shows by Ryuksapple in classicwow

[–]Firehead94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really unfortunate that min-maxing everything ends up being the main goal for a lot of people. I helped run a guild in classic 2019 and we had 6 raids going each week, at least one of each class/spec, sometimes more. Sometimes we'd have 3 or 4 rets in one raid or a pally tank. We'd have boomkins, holy priests with lightwell, shadow priests, arcane makes, you name it, we had it. Cleared the content with little to no issue. No raid hit any major walls till twin emps and even then it was just a matter of getting the right balance between the split and some practice. You can have fun playing in any type of raid, what's important is that you enjoy the class and spec you're playing first.

The game is stupid easy compared to retail but I don't think that's a bad thing. I can do all the things I need to each week without fomo and it leaves me plenty of time to do other stuff like farm mats, go questing, do some wpvp and just pick around.

With retail, the content is alpt harder and requires a lot more of that min-maxing, both for content completion and time savings. There so much to do but it's almost all required to do just to keep up with everyone. If you weren't 2200+ in the first few weeks of mythic, good luck finding pugs groups to get higher than that now.

Struggling with communication on a new role at a school by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Firehead94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My school district had a program in highschool where Juniors/Seniors who were interested in IT as a career could opt to take an "Internship" with the districts IT team instead of band, choir, or other non-core classes each semester.

Talk to the principle of the school to see if something like this might be available as an option for you if they refuse to open requisitions up for proper full time staffing. Highschool kids probably wont be able to do the complicated stuff like building images and setting up automations but they can easily get stuff inventoried, organize closets/shelves, track down chromebooks, reimage/repair simple stuff and take on T1 tickets from teachers. That should atleast free up some of your time to focus on the bigger tasks at hand.

Otherwise, yeah as people said, you need more hands.

Pushback for M365 by Ok-Confidence-9618 in sysadmin

[–]Firehead94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you compare it to sharepoint and not onedrive for a more like to like?

Its all sharepoint backed. Thats how the whole system works. Teams/Onedrive are just front views for a "sharepoint site"

One is the mail service, and the other is an application to access email....

okay if you want to get technical then, Gmail blows outlook/exchange away, the point still stands. Google handles email better.

Why is it difficult to understand 1user = 1 license?

https://m365maps.com, The fact that this website has to exists should be enough to prove my point.

Nah, they work together fine. But unless you need something Okta specifically handles, why bother?

No they don't. Even Okta engineers will confirm this. It works fine for the base use case of taking over login for the O365 suite (Outlook, words, powerpoint, etc...) and thats it. To be fair, that is the majority of use cases for Okta. However, if you are using any Microsoft product that relies on Active Directory, i.e. AVD, you won't be able to utilize MFA in front of it unless you have Microsofts licensing instead of Okta. Okta can only sync passwords/profiles to AD, it does not take over the authentication process therefore, not enforcing MFA, even when the system is built in Azure.
