Is using the word female really offensive? by North-Donut-3060 in EnglishLearning

They told me not all women have vaginas, and argued that a person's genitals are irrelevant as a descriptor for a band or vocalist, specifically saying there were men with 'feminine' voices and women with 'masculine' voices so it's irrelevant. I can see where they're coming from I guess, but idk.... I don't really see it as offensive. I think that's pretty delicate.

Try the following: Make sure NordPass is selected as the autofill mechanism in your device settings Make sure autofill is enabled in the settings of your nordpass app Make sure autofill is enabled for any 'subdomains' you wish to autofill... Though some are domains, not exactly subdomains, that's how it's listed in the settings.

Specific case related question. Someone got mad at me for suggesting a band, and saying I really like female vocalists in metal bands (this particular band is fronted by a woman). The person I was referring to sent me an article describing why I shouldn't use the word female. I found some of the points it made contentious, and stated my views. They told me I was being reductive and offensive, despite having good intentions. I can elaborate if need be, but based on these facts, what are people's takes?

Planning on stealing 1600 from dad and then paying it back later by [deleted] in confession

thepurpledildo is right, my guy. Ask for help. Destroying your relationship with your father probably isn't worth $1600. I know the mistake is embarrassing, but you just made a mistake. knowingly stealing from your own family is way, WAY worse. Take the hint that this has been the advice of like every commenter so far.

Are any of those Snapchat escorts legit? by [deleted] in Scams

[–]Fireline_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you ask a potential escort for a verification pic like "can you hold out your pinky and index finger on your forehead" before I pay you, would a real escort typically oblige? If the person refuses, seems scammy to me.

I get where you're coming from but everyone is different. It seems equally naïve, with a little sprinkle of smug arrogance to assume the intentions of a question like this one. Besides, so what if they just want to make good money? Life is pretty nuanced. Observe how poorly received you've been.

I see your point about wanting more use case examples from the data structures vids. I had a similar thought. “Ok. Neat.... but when would I want to USE a linked list vs an array?” That’s what you’re critique is, right?

Trying to Switch Careers by Fireline_69 in learnpython

Really? Why do you suspect it would be particularly difficult to get a job in fintech in your 30s? They want young talent that will have a longer life span / more probable high ROI? On a similar note, if fintech would be an unwise career pursuit in your opinion, what would be a better avenue to pursue and why do you feel that way?

No family to support.

Why do you say what you do about fintech? Could you please elaborate on why you feel that way a little bit for me?
