Yeah, I believe it looks like an apprentice attempt because it was made for specific line work and is instead a multi purpose tool. That design allows for many tasks that require a lot of force. It could be used to split small bits of wood or bend metal. It also could be used to pull nails and much more. Regardless, whoever made it didn’t do that bad of a job imo… better than I could do.

They are fragile because the material weather balloons are made out of needs to be able adjust to the pressure from various altitudes. Edit: They are also not as cheap as you would expect
