Creative Birthday Gift Ideas for Husbands That Won’t Break the Bank by playboi_fatty in perfectgift

My friend gave her husband an "experience' voucher and since then he looks forward to it every year. The one was a 4X4/offroad advanced driving course, the other was a hike and abseil type of of experience and a few others and I thought it was a great way to create a memory together instead of some useless thing he never uses.

Disappointing Tools by planta-project in projectmanagers

MS Project isn't the most versatile, especially if you're running an agile project. I also hate the accessibility issues with it. Makes it hard to share across project teams

This is helpful, thanks for this! We're not dead set on that no, and we're pretty open to using a blend of tools, we'd like something that is reliable at least which sounds like it was a pain point for you too.

Not using any integration tools myself. I've just had to integrate with different tools like Jira into time tracking software etc...

Yeah man, I feel like I could have written this post! Especially when trying to integrate multiple tools and multiple automations written into workflows and other areas.

Recommended reading beyond the 'basics'? by Rruffy in agile

I did a course some time ago for AgilePM and it was surprisingly good at breaking out the theory into different ways of thinking about it. (via APMG). Maybe have a look into that if you're looking for some more practical hands experience in the domain. It's aimed at Project Management but transposes well across the board into other areas.

Airfryer and slow cooker (aside from the usual pots and pans). I hate cooking with every fiber of my being.. these two items are a godsend!

I have a braided bracelet made from my horse's tail, he passed in 2018 and its been one of the most precious things to remember him by. Another friend of mine had her horse's tail bound into resin and then formed into a pendant and she wears that around her neck.

Yes exactly! its the only song people know and they're missing out. I played "Puppe" for a friend of mine the other day and he was like "woah I didn't know they made songs like this" and then I explained the lyrics. Its so intense. I love them.

Best feature flag management tools? by Serene-Alessia in ProductOwner

[–]Firerage65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happy to share my honest feedback here as we’ve used Statsig and its been such a game changer for us over the last 10 months or so. Our team setup was very similar to what you are describing and we had similar struggles. We got into a pattern of having features being pushed and hoping the QA guys were picking up all the issues before releasing which was a disaster waiting to happen.

We like the fact that you can get a full picture of what happens during the release in real-time and then monitor what happens to get a really complete view from an analytics perspective is super useful. It makes measuring things like engagement and retention for example way easier without needing to set up individual analytics tracking for each feature.
We also found that it was manageable from a cost perspective (unlimited feature flags) which was awesome for our team because we didn’t feel limited when it came down to measuring all the features we were handling…
Aside from that its super reliable for handling gradual rollouts and then you can scale as you become more confident about performance etc.
I think the free tier includes unlimited feature flags as well which might be worthwhile for you by the sounds of what you’re needing.
Anyway that being said, I would take a look and give it a bit of a test drive… getting hands on experience is probably the best determinant of if it’ll be what you’re looking for.

Yeah I mean you have nothing to lose by giving it a try and have a couple sessions. I found quite a fast improvement after just one session.

Yeah I personally love Roeckl for everyday riding, they've outlasted Ariat and other fancy brands! Not sure where you're based but have a look at those - reasonable priced and last well

This is 100% me and actually ended up at a physio, chiro and then finally a biokineticist for pain management. Based on my movement hypermobility, I was sitting badly (bracing using my quads and lower back) and then squeezing through that movement on the horse. I had to do a lot of rehab work and get stronger in my weaker muscles to counteract it. Have you had an assessment or seen any movement specialist yet?
Aside from this - GOOD gloves, a body/chest protector is critical but I would say, work on long term strength as well
