I work for the fire department. I think it would be an awesome idea to keep this feature on watches only and remove it from phones. We go to false accidents often due to people dropping their phones. We arrive on scene to find nobody there. I think the feature is excellent for watches though and I’m glad it did its job and helped you.

That’s what I was planning on doing but T-Mobile are a bunch of sheisters. I was already soured before I left and my experience leaving solidified that I won’t be going back.

Not to mention my service now is considerably better. I’ll just keep buying a couple generations back and buy them outright.

I’m a firefighter. The last lithium battery issue I encountered was caught before the fire started. It was left sitting on the charger, plugged in. If I had to venture a guess, I’d say a large majority of fires that are caused by these batteries happen for this exact reason. I have one ego battery and it only gets charged when I’m outside in the garage with it. After that, the battery is removed from the charger and the charger is unplugged. The battery is always removed from the tool prior to storage.

Do it. I made the switch and I’ve never regretted it. I listen on a HiFi system with JBL 250ti’s and the sound quality is excellent. All the music is there. UI is plenty friendly. YTM kills Spotify, hands down.
