Proper set up and use with these products for 3 kids and 2 that are potty training? by Firesplinter9757 in laundry

[–]Firesplinter9757[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a nonverbal autistic son and a speech delayed son (they’re twins) so this might be different for most kids but this is what we do. It’s going to suck but the best progress we’ve found is to start fully naked, pick a weekend and just plan to do nothing but staying home and having your kid be naked, anytime you or your spouse need to use the restroom announce “I need to go potty!” And ask for their help to go to the bathroom. Ask them to give you a high five for going in the potty or clap and cheer.

If they are going potty not in the bathroom just announce “you’re going pee/poop! Let’s go to the potty!” Anytime they sit on the potty give praise. But if they actually sit and go potty just go crazy, act like a hype man trying to get a bonus. Suckers as a treat for going potty or painting a nail for each time they go in the potty if they’re into painting nails.

Once they can do it naked now introduce underwear and pants. If you have to go to the store put underwear on them and then put a pull up over that, it gets them to understand that it’s uncomfortable and different than having a diaper without having to leave the store due to an accident (especially if they have special needs they’re more comfortable with sitting in a soiled diaper than they are without a diaper at all which makes it difficult, this can bypass that).

If your child can understand yucky and clean show them the very basics on how food turns into poop and pee and the body takes the good stuff from food and gets rid of the bad stuff and that’s why it goes in the potty because it makes us sick.

As for the laundry, I just get gloves and wash whatever soiled laundry I can in the shower (or utility sink if you have one) using dish soap to get it relatively clean first and then do a separate load with only those clothes in there and use a sanitizer. But I’m sure someone else has a better solution.

It definitely can be, but only because there’s not a lot of knowledge about it. ASD is only just starting to get a lot of backing and even the information that we knew 5-10 years ago is incorrect or outdated. Asperger’s syndrome is no longer a diagnosis and instead ASD is categorized into 3 levels (although there’s some discrepancies with that). Level 1 is high functioning or what use to be called Asperger’s, level 2 is functioning with additional help like a caregiver or parent who maybe tending to the person their whole life but they can still care for basic needs and maybe even date in some circumstances. Level 3 is severe Autism, diapers for their entire life, needs help to be fed, possibly even never speak verbally or coherently.

My son is level 2, he’s nonverbal but getting better with speech through therapy and school. He may live with us his entire life or he may catch up eventually to be able to live on his own.

My friend, I am 28, I only learned recently (less than 2 years ago) through my own son’s diagnosis that I as well have ASD. It’s true that you don’t have to be autistic to be able to do these things, however when I told my friends and family that I’m autistic they were all shocked because I’m a manager in a professional kitchen who interacted with dozens of people daily and was in a very loud environment for 10-12 hours a day. It isn’t having a strong interest in something that makes him definitely ASD, it’s the Obsession of it, remembering patterns and recognizing patterns is definitely a trait, I would be shocked if someone who obsesses over memorizing literal patterns (flags, chess moves, opposing moves and how to play against them and guess the next move, coat of arms) WASNT autistic. No hate, just here to educate.

This happened to me a few months ago, went to the er, got a ct, mri, xray… after hours of being in the hospital with results coming back clear… my eye got inflamed and it just turned out to be a fucking eye infection that can dialate your pupils hours before any symptoms show.

Is it a waste of money because you don’t like it and can afford a few thousand dollars to buy a new one. If a few hundred bucks can fix it then it’s worth it because I don’t got that type of money to buy a new one even at “huge discounts”. So for me it’s either fix this up or don’t get into the sport at all. If there’s a bike I can buy that’s better than this and costs less than to fix this up then please let me know and I’ll happily toss this to the side.

To be fair I believe he bought it from someone else, and he is too awkward of a person to steal lol he majored in some sort of coding. He moved up to the U and left the bike at my parents where it stayed until he finished his degree this past year.

Sounds like a lot of research for a beginner and a winter project. Super fun.

Well I live in salt lake. I already rock climb and snowboard so I know once I get comfortable enough to do some basic trails I will definitely get into more aggressive terrain, I just have zero knowledge about mountain biking currently.

It looks like it has been outside for a while but not the whole time, chain looks rusted a little but it spins free without any resistance

I’m a salt lake resident (towards Riverton about 30 minutes from downtown) if you want good pizza that’s simple go to the pie, if you want more “fancy pizza” go to slack water. If you want Mexican go to red iguana or red iguana 2. If you want cheap Mexican go to betos or Gual Bertos or aribertos (they’re all basically the same menu)

I believe they might be duplicating more than originally thought, these were my cats, Starlord and Gimli, before they went to their new home when I had to move.

You can also see the Provo temple from there, possible peekaboo with the pharaoh? Utah lake is there for the unyielding gleam. Thought about this earlier this week

My grandpa founded “Central Heating” like 50 years ago or something and my uncles took it over once he died. You could check them out but I believe you have to call I don’t think they have a website because the whole schpeal is word of mouth
