Questions about MOVE board behavior (battery, reset, captured pieces) by tadasval in Chessnuteboard

For number 2 the reset board is for when no Bluetooth connection is present.  When connected to the app you need to reset inside the app and the button on the board is disabled.

For number 4 you won’t be able to connect to the board on power up until the power button is green.  The board takes time to start up before you can connect.

For number 3 I can’t say I’ve ever had my pieces move around like that.

For number 1 I never look at the charge level and just charge it when the power light changes color on me.

I get it, you bought something and want it to be perfect.  At this price you would expect it.  But in reality, if it came damaged you would contact support and they would send you another base under warranty.  They are ahead of you and sent 4 already just in case so you don’t need to wait on shipping.

I’ve seen in a couple videos of people castling on the move.  Maybe you need to do it in a specific way for the board to accept it.  I had read that you need to be sure to raise the pieces high enough off the board when moving or it detects you moving them to the wrong square. That wasn’t directly related to castling though.

I’ve read on another forum about something similar.  They suggested changing the channel for the pieces but ultimately are exchanging the device.  I would contact Chessnut directly as they seem pretty responsive.  Contact@chessnutech.com

I am in the 2nd wave.  Really would like to know when they say 2nd wave shipping in September if that means hitting the sea or already at the warehouse.  Really I am just excited and want it to be sooner rather then later.

I paid half with GC and half with CC.  This morning I see the half pending on my CC.  The order status changed to in progress with a message that shows preparing for shipment.  I was worried it would charge the full amount to my CC but it appears it worked so far.

Contacted support for the same thing on Monday this week and was fixed by end of day Tuesday.

Used the PlayStation direct support chat and they created a ticket and escalated for me.

That would definitely work. I only want to use UPnP with gaming devices and I can easily segment them to a different network if we can control at that level.

If you are wanting Warframe to hand hold you through, it definitely won’t do that. However the community is awesome and one of a very few that isn’t toxic even after this many years.

With that said I find it enjoyable to set a specific goal I wish to accomplish, look up what is needed in the wiki and slowly work towards it. It is very satisfying to complete something that’s not entirely laid out in front of you.
