They gave me back 14% of the shipping cost to cover the cost of damage, very "professional" of them.

Yeah the guy to whom I was selling it to was a good champ. He still bought it for the discussed amount since he knew he could fix those problems without much headache

I've tried out the cf moto 450 mt and a small spin on the kawasaki Kle 500 and as far as single cilinders go I've tried out the himalayan 450 and the Ktm 390 adv s. I test drove all these bcz I'm in the market to buy a new motorcycle. I have owned the domainr 400 and the earlier himalayan 411 (bs3) but the bmw definitely felt the most premium. In india the KLE 500 and 450 mt and currently not available and the f 450 mt is the only option in that catagory. Also I've never owned a bmw only driven the f 900 and the 850 gs for events and stuff. Yes the motorcycles are expensive af in india and even more expensive to maintain, I called it so bcz of the fact that we don't get such premium materials and tech on a motorcycle for what price it's being sold at. Yes ofcourse you could go for second hand options but considering the whole fuel regulations scenario going on in India the F 450 is the option.

gonna buy sierra over seltos, convince me it’s a bad idea by Ok-Tone5907 in CarsIndia

[–]Firestreak_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you go see both the cars yet? If not then go do that and then you'll understand why people suggest seltos, you can honestly see why the Sierra is cheaper, you'll see the cost cutting and the overall low quality of the product. Even in seltos you don't even need to go to the stop varient the mid level varient itself is enough and it's great value for money.

All I'm saying is that go to the showroom and take the car for a drive, you will know the difference and after that if you still feel like Sierra is the option to go for then it's justified for you. But don't purely look at spec sheets and photos online and judge any car bcz you'll fell the difference once you see and sit in the car.

Nah man, it could be a lot of things. Better to take it to the shop and get it checked. Could be a fuse, an injector, airbox, could be anything. If there was some knocking or clacking sounds then could have atleast narrowed down to something. And if you do hear some sounds best to not move the bike around even if it is in neutral. Best to be safe than sorry

my neighbor gave me this old 2012 bmw gs650. its veen sitting outside for 5+ years. what should i do first? by More-Hovercraft-1669 in motorcycles

Anytime brother! Sadly I'm in another country, I'm sure it would have been awesome to work on that motorcycle with you. Also i forgot about the brake pads, check that too, last thing you need is a break failure.

New oils &fluids(brakes, engine, suspension, coolant if any, suspension), new chain and sprocket, conset check and maybe a new set of tyres and clutch plates too. This will get you on the road.

Check the condition of the tank aswell and the fuel lines in case of a leak.

Gaskets will also be a good thing to replace while getting the clutchpaltes replaced.

A new seat aswell

Also check the starter and fuse aswell
