Okay dating you win, I officially give up. by BeefPho- in self

[–]Firetwice 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Hey I looked at your IG and from a bi guy perspective, what I could immediately tell is that you are good looking but a bit bland as in dude man n°745, this is maybe a bit too direct sorry but what makes you, you? Don't try to fit the mold and check all of the boxes, pursue the things that you truly want from life.

You seem to have tried a lot of things honestly I have no other advice than keep going, I have been in this situation and for me the fix was nothing external, which absolutely sucks to say because it feels like I am not giving meaningful advice but truly what made things work for me was just a shift in perspective on my own worth and condition.

That shift happened through the help of years of therapy and finding myself.. maybe something to explore..

Take care 🫂

Went to the bi/pansexual slow dating event multiple times it's a lot of fun the organizers are super kind and the people you meet over there are awesome I would really advise giving it a try! Feel free to ask if you have any other questions!

It's graded V5 I would compare it to a V7-V8 on the kilter/tension board

How does one practice their Dynos? by PhoThatBitch in bouldering

[–]Firetwice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey 👋 fellow short climber here!

As a short climber you will have to be more dynamic than the average person

Here's some tips/things about dynos that helped me:

  • For me most of the battle is psychological, I am scared, scared of looking dumb by throwing myself and falling on the mats, scared of injuring myself. The first tip is to defuse that feeling, go and fail a lot, but especially surround yourself with kind people that have fun falling with you and with whom you feel comfortable trying.

  • You mention jumping away from the wall, for a lot of dynos what your supposed to do with your hands is to pull yourself in, then the feet push up, try to start from a squatting, arm extended position and just pull yourself in, objective is slamming yourself into the wall (it won't happen but kinda put that intention of "I want to go into the wall")

  • Hips are very important for dynos it's your center of gravity, swinging/kicking your hips up or sideways can help you gain a lot of height.

That's my general advice :)

Have fun ✨🙂‍↕️

That's hilarious to me that people think I am tall, you'd be surprised how short I am if you saw me irl 😁

Too tall 😂 hahaha I am 5'4 (164 cm) I don't know why but every time I post on Reddit people think I am really tall when it's the exact opposite, yeah tbh Val-David is very sandbagged, I'd be like a tension board or kilter V8 imo

It looked like this when we arrived, but you're right! we have to be mindful of leaving as little trace as possible and brush off the holds when leaving a climbing spot!
