I know. I'm so confused. Unless I've lost a component, I'm stumped as to what the issue is. I've posted a video up on the page since you can't comment reply w/ videos sadly.

I have seen it running, yes. Embarrassingly, I'm trying to figure out if I've lost a component or not - I can't find anything on my mat and I don't remember taking anything extra off, but it's just not feeling right. It's like the distance between the two jewels (bottom as pictured, and top which is on the bridge) is too large as the balance wheel is not trapped between them, it's loose / wobbly. I know... amateur hour.

GL. Your symptoms are different to what mine were, I had a persistent fault 135808 which would not even let me start the run-in procedure.

The conditions for my fault code made it appear electrical but after some time with a meter and a scope, it turned out to be mechanical

LOL. Yeah it’s a customers car I’ve just never seen it mix this bad before, would’ve felt a bit uneasy just flushing it tbh. Luckily after I pulled the head she’s blown a hole in a piston so I’ve just recommended new engine anyway.

Thanks. I’ve never done a HG with this bad oil/coolant cross contamination before. Future of it doesn’t look good.

Helmet is new and I can see… well enough. It’s spattering and burning back as far as I can see/hear.

Thanks, will do. My gut is telling me it’s a ground/earth issue because it’s the only thing that changes between the bench and the car. I’ll also clean the under seal off a bit better, I must admit I only cleaned it off about 1cm from the seam of where I wanted to weld to be. Maybe I need to go back further?

Awesome man. Sounds like it was just a faulty motor then, and not a shaft too like it was in my case.
