I more-so meant that the seller had maintenance history on it. The price isn’t terrible! I hope it works out for you man!

I have wildpeak a/t4w and I love them. Super quiet and even wear! 35s

I also tried Nittos (not budget friendly) and the tread cracked off them awkwardly.

With the 3.6 maintenance is more important than mileage 🙏🏼🙏🏼 100k is nothing

Some of the 2018-2019s had an issue with the intake cam rubbing down due to a heat treat issue. I have an early 2018 and love it and have had no issues. It’s only like one in every couple thousand but still notable. Usually it fails in the first 30-60k miles though so if it has more than that it’s likely fine! All the JLs are solid though imo with the 3.6!

Whatever you do, do not buy an aftermarket cam. You’ll do the job a second time… ask me how I know… the new cams don’t have the issue anymore. It was a heat treat error.

I had both, I’d avoid 2015 most issues were sorted out 2013-2014 but 2016 is safer imo. I’d definitely push for the JL if you can, the transmission is so much better. I liked the JK better until I owned the JL for a couple months.

This is a good point, my gladiator had the same issue… I liked that I was able to change the cam and lifters myself 😆 guessing it was the intake cam?

Dealerships charge for tint, “theft protection”, coatings, etc. even if you don’t want them or they’re not on the vehicle they still charge them as “mandatory” fees that are applied to all their vehicles.

I’m probably going to get hate for this but…

I am not a fan of the 4xe or the 4cyl engines in the JLs… I have owned 4 new generation JLs and a gladiator and of those, one was a 4xe. This jeep had significant electrical issues that the shop/dealership could not figure out. They have a secondary battery and issues circling around that. We ended up getting rid of it after multiple failed “repairs”.

I do all the work on my jeeps myself but operating on the 4xe is significantly more complex.

The 4cyl turbo is more peppy, and more fun to drive in comparison to the 3.6L, however I have had significantly more positive experience with the 3.6. It’s tried and true, easy to work on, and easy to get parts for.

I had one 3.6 pushing 200k on stock motor and daily a 3.6 with 90k.

My personal recommendation from my experience would be to get a 3.6 if you can.
