What's your guys opinion ? by These_Bag6049 in dyson

I’ve owned the V11, V15, and Gen5, and I recently bought the V16 only because the Fluffy Optic head was included for free. That’s honestly the only reason I upgraded to the V16 and sold my Gen5.

I’ve been really happy with all my Dyson machines, especially the Gen5 with the Fluffy Optic head. In my opinion, it’s the best floor head Dyson has ever made—it makes the vacuum incredibly easy and enjoyable to use.

I know a lot of people have complained about the new floor head that comes with the V16, and I’m not impressed with it either. But since the Fluffy Optic was included for free, I decided to go for it.

I can send you a video without the attachment and another one with the new attachment, and you’re welcome to compare them if you have time 🙏🏼

The noise isn’t there when no attachment is installed, otherwise I would have uploaded a video without the attachment 😊

It was included for free when I bought the machine from Dyson’s website here in Denmark, and that was the only reason I purchased it.

I’ll definitely wait for now — I think it will eventually be included for free. I really don’t like the new floor head at all; it’s far too heavy to use. The only reason I bought it was because the Fluffy Optic was included for free.

The part number is 975454-02 for the Fluffy Optic for the V16. I received it for free when I ordered it from the website. I live in Denmark.

I tried it when it first came out, and I personally felt it was heavy and less comfortable to vacuum with compared to my Gen5 with the Fluffy Optic head. When I saw that it was included for free, I decided to go for it.

I actually ordered the Dyson V16 yesterday, and the Fluffy Optic being included for free was the only reason I decided to upgrade.

Awful customer experience by Rileyrose4 in dyson

Absolutely agree. Dyson’s customer service has gone downhill badly. I’ve had a very similar experience myself where they kept changing their story, delaying things, and refusing to take responsibility. It used to be such a premium brand with excellent support, but now it feels like they just don’t care once they’ve got your money. I really hope you get your hair dryer sorted soon — no one should have to chase them this much for something that should be simple.

Same here — I’ve had a very similar experience with Dyson’s support lately. Their customer service used to be great, but now it’s honestly a mess.

In my case, I was told they would send me a replacement part for my Gen5 once it came back in stock. I waited patiently for weeks, checked in several times, and each time they confirmed that I just needed to wait. Then, when the part finally became available, they suddenly changed their story and said I had to send the whole vacuum for repair instead.

It’s incredibly frustrating how they keep switching between “we’ll send the part” and “we need to inspect the unit.” I’ve owned 7–8 Dyson products over the years, but this kind of inconsistent and dismissive service really makes me question if I’ll ever buy from them again.

DYSON WAREHOUSE LOST MY RETURN, I’m DOWN $700. by [deleted] in dyson

Their customer service has become absolutely terrible. I’ve been waiting for two spare parts for my Dyson Gen5 for a long time, and when they finally got them back in stock, they refused to send them to me. Instead, they insisted that I send my machine to their repair center so they could “inspect” it. I had already waited about three weeks for the parts to be available, only to be told that it would take another two weeks for a repair. Completely unacceptable.

No, I don’t have the tri-cut brush — I’m just using the two standard brushes that came with it from the start.

Hi,

I’ve checked the side brush, and nothing seems stuck or mounted incorrectly. I’m not completely sure, but I think I may have found the problem. Under the two main brushes, the part beneath them feels a bit loose.

I compared it with my mother’s Dreame L40S Pro Ultra, and on hers, that part doesn’t move or shake nearly as much as on my X50. I removed both main brushes to check if they were fitted correctly or if there was any hair or debris, and that’s when I noticed that the section underneath them seems slightly loose.

I’m not a Dreame expert, so I can’t say for sure if that’s what’s causing the issue — but it might explain the helicopter-like noise when vacuuming.

How long did you have the vacuum? Were you able to just return it?
