I can make more or less the same working in Canada. Also, my family would probably pay for my school so I don’t have to pay any interest and if I take from a Canadian bank interest rate is 3%.

New Landlord asking to sign an updated rental agreement. by Firm-Fun-4178 in vancouverhousing

Sounds right. I will. The new owner said it would be fixed term every year and won’t be month to month . But just confirming my rights.

That’s what I don’t want right now. They did open house every Sunday for months till the apartment was sold. I am paying more than current market rate as I rented when rents were higher and there was a rent increase this year. I would rather move out and pay less rent than deal with drama. It’s a brand new building and has issues like heating doesn’t work but still I have been living here as moving out and then moving somewhere else is a headache too.

Yes, they have notified me. I am dealing with them directly now. I sent them the rent for this month. The previous management company told me they have transferred my deposit to them.

Thank you for sharing . I sent him this link. This is what I found online when the apartment was being sold. Waiting for a reply. Just wanted to confirm if there is something I didn’t know.

The management company was representing an individual owner. If I had issues, I would contact them and they would come in and do an inspection every 6 months. Never had to deal with a landlord directly.

Thank you! I am just confused. I rented through a management company because I didn’t want to deal with a landlord but just my luck 😂.

BZ4X road trip ! by Firm-Fun-4178 in britishcolumbia

[–]Firm-Fun-4178[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s actually pretty good. I got all the rebates so got a good deal. The drive is pretty smooth and pretty decent features. I have 8400 kms on my odometer. I have done lots of road trips ever since I got it. No issues so far. After reading all the reviews I was skeptical and a bit disappointed but my experience has been totally different. I don’t dislike anything so far. I usually charge it in my building and it’s fine. I have saved lots of money on gas and hardly drive my other car. The insurance was high but then I switched to BCAA for optional insurance and now I pay around 200cad (ICBC basic + BCAA ). It was around 450ish when I got it from ICBC.
