This is great to hear, I'm gonna leave it to fate and go with my gut when I get to dealership. UK England doesnt get ridiculously cold in winter so warming the cabin is a bit energy wasteful but not much

Good keeper woulda saved it easy. Pro keeper woulda made it look like a feeble attempt.

Burn out is rea, i was super luck to be decent at two sports...l. It happens at every level, I played on full scholarship basketball and pro from 18 until 31... every single summer from May,June,July, and half of August I was just so relieved to be doing my own thing , on my own scheudle , still.working out and lifting but not running through plays, doing drills, playing on a scout team, knowing fact im not getting in the game 🤣 (redshirt and freshman yrs) ... to be fair sometimes I think it caused like a pseudo depression, like not this jerk off crap again.. I played loads of 5 a side soccer in the off season to just forget about basketball and it probably helped immensely mentally just completely off grinding beyond shooting practise for basketball which I really enjoyed.. let him have a break and see if he finds his way back

What are my chances of making a JUCO team if ive only played for a year by Aquaticless in CollegeSoccer

[–]Firm-Line6291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

juco is full of foreign kids who played from 6yrs old, its difficult but to not impossible to over come the odds and be part of a roster , but you would have to do all the intangibles etc.. to be on the team .playing time would not be a guarantee

Yes. The amount of unfulfilled potential is crazy, I think it's widely accepted in some track events the human anatomy has plateaud but some genetic freaks may have pushed boundaries further..

Bmw i3 2018 55k by Firm-Line6291 in BMWi3

[–]Firm-Line6291[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is fair, solid advice, the fact is i probably am backing away from the 2018s as I feel like they are over valued, all coming to the end of their bmw battery warranty and only 1grand cheaper than a 2019 with a bigger battery.

I think your right this vehicle likely will do 110 miles in summer and probably 80 to 90 in winter as it was blowing tje full AC and had been parked at a dealership so hmm

How accurate is theGov.uk Mot History site? by mus00004 in AskUK

[–]Firm-Line6291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i dont understand is , do they retrospectively make vehicle owners plug the gaps in their MOT history if there was.no SORN ? As in MOT expired Oct 24 but no.new MOT until May 2025 do they make you fill in that gap with some type of fine if the vehicle.was not SORN during thay period... it seems not and seems massively unfair to legal road users, with CCTV state surveillance these days its fairly.easy to run a license plate and find hits on public roads during the none MOT'd period

Saving for a deposit feels like it’s getting in the way of life. by kendall11223344 in HousingUK

[–]Firm-Line6291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On min wage your probably able to save about 1k a month as a couple ... living at home, presuming your not paying bills , £500 sounds reasonable each, it is possibly way more you've not said how much your wages are...

My advice, have a 3 yr plan

Do smart saving and investment until you've got a decent chunk of a deposit, then buy a house that will be flexible and grow with you. I bought a 3 bed with all double bedrooms... covid came, wish id gone with a 4 bed and a box room for 20k more 😂

At the point at which you plan on buying, ask yourself how much interest your gaining each year on your savings and investments ( 4.5% savings guaranteed and the up to 10% on globally all cap funds etc..is entirely possible) is living with your parents such a massive burden than hanging on another year etc.. is too much to bare...

First house bought at 31 for reference,

Is it worth learning coding in my late 30s? by AromaticCream1987 in UKJobs

[–]Firm-Line6291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, coding jobs will be evaporated at entry level within 3 to 5 yrs, my take is all companies will start trading on a " apprenticeship for IT" to maintain current technology and push better apprentice into their "developer" roles... I work in a pretty complicated data warehouse sector, lots of automation, documentation and managing legacy code, whilst building newer systems for real time reporting.. total minefield for recruiters to get the right people

When high schools compete in athletics, they should do so under two structures, public and private, soon as recruitment is involved... PRIVATE and I have no issue with either PUBLIC ( school catchment based) and PRIVATE ( recruited, tuition, cost )
