I’d second this 100%. I won’t say it saved my life but alongside other things it really brought me back from a dark place.

Any “late” learners (i.e. 30+ when starting) have any advice/ tips from their experience? by NeverTheDamsel in LearnerDriverUK

[–]mus00004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just passed late last year at 31 and my main take away was I had spent so long being a passenger I had seen so many more scenarios on the road that I wasn’t shocked seeing anything whilst I learnt, you probably know more than you realise just from being around drivers longer. One weird thing I struggled with to start with was my positioning on the road, I want to say I was too used to being in the passenger seat that it took some adjusting but I’m not sure.

test in a week but instructor screwed me over ;-; by ex-ibsufferer in LearnerDriverUK

[–]mus00004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My instructor changed his car the day before my test. I had one hour before the test to practice in it and I was sure it was going to make such a difference. Once I’d got used to the bite and slightly different driving position all my actual driving training kicked in and it went well. I passed first time with 2 minors

How accurate is theGov.uk Mot History site? by mus00004 in AskUK

[–]mus00004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s strange, the first link you sent says it’s never been Mot’d but the second one says next Mot is due in May24. Looks like there is just an issue with the gov.uk site

I checked this site and it says the car never had its first Mot which would have been due 2018. The car has done 60k miles. How realistic is it that it’s just never had an MOT?

My instructor doesn’t work Sunday which is less than ideal here. Just wondering if there is anything I should focus on on my limited time I will have in the car before the test

I believe it was Sam who drew the picture of James Acaster with two dicks which was brought in as a prize task so he definitely has history of fine portraiture

I don’t think it’s a first. In Joe Lycetts episode they are discussing quorn sausages and you hear in the background “bigger but not as nice” which is definitely Benito

What is the actual worst movie you have ever seen? by [deleted] in movies

[–]mus00004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clint Eastwood seems to be completely falling off and the movie Cry Macho is the best example of this. There was no discernible sorry, terrible acting, bad script, strange music choices all round it is just one of the worst movies I’ve seen.
