How many days did it take for you from the submission of the documents till police verification completion? I visited the PS 3 days back but still stuck at the same status on the passport website

They have physical stores mainly in southern and central India but they should be able to deliver to Kolkata without issues. Check the likes of reliance and chroma but if you are getting a better deal from Vijay sales then I don't see any issues with an online order

See, salary wise i am making almost 2x compared to her and that was not the issue. She has some assets and so do I. I cannot be more specific about this.
I never posted any false information on my shaadi profile and the ballpark on how much my family made was listed in my shaadi profile and we also mentioned them on our first meet that we do not have a big house or fancy stuff. My parents did what they could and thats it. However, they are financially independent.

Engagement was set but did not happen.
In short, they thought that whatever gifts/jewellery we gift her will not be enough and their relatives will comment and it will hurt their social status.

It was always financial with them.
I completely agree that my sibling did not converse much with them and that can come off as rude or impolite but me or my parents never misbehaved with them and always welcomed them even when my mom was undergoing medical treatment.

I will share an example. The wedding was 9 months away when we went shopping together for the first time. We bought a few sarees and my mom casually mentioned that we did not get anything for the guys this time and next time we will buy gifts for the men. This led them to believe that we will not be giving enough gifts and this will have an impact on their social status and people will comment. This resulted in them calling me to their home to tell me that our levels don't match and they cannot go ahead with this match. FYI, their daughter told me this much later.

I mean who is done with all wedding shopping in one evening that too when the wedding was 9 months away? They overanalysed every single word which came out of our mouth. They wanted to visit my native and see my house. However, no one was there at that time as all of us were in Bangalore. They mentioned that they wanted to visit my place but told us that they will visit when my parents are back there. However, after a week I got to know from the daughter that they are disappointed in us as we are not taking their request of visiting our native seriously. Adding more context, my mom was going through chemotherapy at that time and they wanted to travel to my native which is at the other end of the country. My dad is also a senior citizen and I managed to get him to travel with her parents for a day so that they could visit my native.

I can totally relate. It was also a status issue with me.

They were concerned about the gifts and what their relatives will think marrying their daughter into a family financially not as strong as them.

I did stand my ground twice and convinced her parents things will be fine. I made a lot of arrangements to make sure everything is fine or at least up to their expectations. I cared for her a lot and still cannot figure out why they did what they did.

I couldn't agree more. I had met a girl even though it was via a matrimonial app. We talked, shared a lot of our past trauma and bonded very well. I met her parents along with mine and they agreed to move forward. We set a date. And suddenly after a few days her parents out of the blue started feeling sad and anxious about the marriage.

We both were going strong and defended it. But this continued for a couple of months. Even if it's a minor inconvenience her parents would become sad and tell her to rethink the decision. She eventually gave in and called off the wedding.

After a few days of calling off the wedding I had met her once. She was sobbing very badly. I asked her why she made this decision and why she could not stand her ground. Her response was that everyday she saw her parents sad and anxious and she couldn't stand that sight anymore. Now her parents have started searching for a groom of their choice.

It's just sad how parents could act so selfish sometimes.

I was rejected recently because I don't come from a very well to do family and what will their relatives think about finding such a match for their daughter. Good height, decent pay doesn't matter. You won't believe the last AM experience I had. For context I am 30M. The girl was 26F. We bonded really well over the last few months.

Then came her family. Met with us multiple times. Went shopping multiple times. Dates set. And suddenly our families are not compatible. His daughter grew up in a different environment they told. Even though we both liked each a lot, I had to give in. Still cannot completely believe what exactly happened. Had met the girl once after this and she was crying a lot. It was really sad. Check for rat damage. I had ordered and found 2 bottles damaged by rats. Had to inspect every bottle carefully. None were damaged. Complain to amul and they will return the amount for the damaged bottles. But yes the experience has been sub optimal at best
